Chapter Eight

Tina smiled as the corner of her eyes began to water a little.

Bette noticed this and wiped Tina’s eye with her thumb.

“So Alice questioned it, she asked was it a good thing that I trust you again because trust is a hard thing to gain back.”

“Of course Alice said that.” Bette sighed. “Alice just doesn’t understand what we’ve been through and how far it took us to get back to the way we once were.”

“It’s just Bette..” Tina paused crossing her legs before continuing. “It’s just Kelly. Alice also told me today she isn’t going to stop her ways for me.”

“Tina you know you’re the love of my life and that woman can do whatever the hell she wants because I don’t care, you’re the only one for me, the only woman I want in my life, the only woman I want to marry.”

Tina looked into her partners eyes with such love, she reached out cupping her hands around Bette’s face and pulling her into a soft passionate kiss.

Bette slowed the kiss down and pulled gently away, her hand moved to Tina’s face brushing her finger against Tina’s lips.

“I actually had a talk with her today before I left the gallery.” Bette said thinking back to it.

“What did she say?”

“She wants me to come in tomorrow on my day off-“ Bette had been cut off by Tina.

“See, this is clearly what I mean, this is one of her many plans to get you to spend more time at the gallery with her because the woman is a snake, Bette.” Tina had spoke with anger in her voice.

“Let me finish, T. I picked up on this myself, I’m not that dumb headed. I even asked her myself was this one of her petty acts to get me away from you.”

“And what did that snake say?”

“She intended to say that she wasn’t that bad of a person, I simply told her like i’ve told her before to just back off. Now don’t overreact to what i’m about to tell you, T.”

Tina looked at Bette signalling with her hands that she wanted Bette to continue.

“She..she just said it’s not going to be easy backing off.”
