Lesbiannicus: Chapter 10 – Balance the Scale

Since arriving home Jaeils ears weren’t immune to the whispers and gossip surrounding her decision to bring a stranger into their city. She could provide all with an explanation but refrained from doing so as she felt no need to explain her decision to all but one. As she rode her stallion up the hill making the 5 mile trip towards the sky she braced herself for what was to come. She had put off making the trip long enough and she could no longer prolong the inevitable. With Ate following behind her they both finally reach the massive iron gates knowing they had arrived the main gates open slowly. Ate all too familiar with the surroundings runs towards the open field hoping to play in the soft grass that only grew there. Dismounting her stallion she walks up the massive iron rock stairs before she reaches to knock to announce her presence the double wide doors open slowly. As soon as she was inside the solid doors closed behind her standing in the main entrance way she awaits to be greeted. She didn’t have to wait long as Lioni, the house keeper slowly made her way down the curved staircase.

“Jaeil it’s good to see you.”

    “Likewise.”

“Come she awaits you in the south corridor.” She wasn’t sure her exact age but Jaeil assumed Lioni to be in her late 70’s. She spent her entire life maintaining the upkeep of the colossal sized property. Following behind her Lioni stops to open another set of double size doors stepping aside she nods to her signaling it was okay to enter then closes the doors behind her. Looking at her surroundings every wall in the room was aligned with book shelves with each row filled to the max with some form of literature. The large room was dim as the fireplace provided the only visible light.

“Please come and join me, “she hears a voice call out to her. Walking towards the burgundy accent chairs sitting in front of the fireplace she takes a seat.

    “Maru.”

    “Jaeil……it’s been a long time.”

    “Yes, it has.”

    “How were your travels?”

    “Great, I always welcome discovery.”

“Care for some wine, “she says reaching over the small table in front of her to refill her glass.
