    A Different L: Episode 4 Part 2

Wednesday, one week since Oliver and Felicity’s engagement announcement dinner party.

The morning starts as any other day involving work. The alarm goes off, wake up, keep self from destroying said alarm. Kara opens her eyes clutching one of her pillows. Somewhere in a dream, she and Daisy were waking up together.

Elsewhere in West Hollywood, Daisy awakens from her sleep, clutching one of her pillows. Somewhere in a dream, she and Kara were waking up together.

As the morning progresses, the Planet is open for business and there helping deal with the morning crowd is Iris. She likes the work as it helps keep her mind off of other things. The past week has been one of silence as Barbara and Liz come and go at the Planet, Felicity has become wrapped up in Oliver, Daisy and Kara have become wrapped up in one another, Chloe is still focusing on her work and her daughter, and Jessica has been away from everyone, at least until this morning. She looks up to see Jessica entering the Planet for the first time in a week. Her appearance is that of someone who has not slept in days. No matter how upset Iris might have been a week ago, that flitters away at the sight of her friend looking broken.

    Iris: Jessica? You look…

Iris wants to remain as positive as possible, but the look on her friend’s face kills the attempt.

    Iris: …terrible.

Jessica: Can I… …Can I talk to you for a minute?

    Iris nods. She is concerned.

Iris: Yes. We can talk in my office.

Making their way to Iris’s office, Jessica leans against the door, her arms crossed and her eyes closing for a moment.

    Iris: What happened?

    Jessica opens her eyes.

Jessica: Screwed up. Became what Trish has been afraid I’d be. Some stupid damn lunatic that people are afraid to do something about, because they know I can kill them without much effort. A goddamn monster. I wrecked a lotta shit. And I said something at that house that I shouldn’t have and it was about you.

Jessica places her hands together by the tips of the fingers.

Jessica: I am so sorry for doing that to you. Been so pissed off at everything that’s happened. It’s like… damn Kilgrave won. He’d said my life would be miserable without him. And I just wanna headbutt this stupid wall, but I can’t because I’ll tear a hole through it!
