    Breaking Barriers-Loving a Woman & Her Daughter-Chapter 6

    Chapter 6.

Across the city and just by the beach, Tina Kennard sat back in her lounge and took a large mouthful of her beer. Surveying the scene around her, the blonde was happy with what she had achieved today. She was surrounded by large, packed boxes, other than her furniture, she was ready to make her big move on Friday. It was hard to contain her excitement. Though she loved her homely one bedroom unit, she was finally moving up in the world. With hard work and a recent inheritance, Tina was moving to an apartment in West Hollywood. Two bedrooms, a large balcony, nice views and closer to the school she had just been transferred too. Above all, she had finally established herself, she had achieved everything she never thought possible. There was just one thing missing, love, finding her soul mate, someone that she could have a family with and someone to grow old with. A life that would allow her the love she had felt deprived of and the opportunity to put her demons behind her.

It had been twelve years ago, on the morning of her eighteenth birthday that Tina had risen in the very early hours, packed up the few significant belongings in her life and walked away. She departed the small town in North Carolina and made her way to a city she had only ever seen pictures of, New York. Unbeknownst to her parents or anyone in her life, she had received a scholarship to a Teachers College in the Big Apple. It was a life long dream and a means of escaping a childhood which and left her both physically and emotionally scarred.

Tina had been adopted at the age of two by Jack and Jean Kennard. Her birth mother had finally given her up, when she chose a life of drugs and prostitution over the care of her little girl. The Kennard’s were a couple in the early forties. They had been married for twenty years but had never been successful in conceiving children of there own. They took the tiny blonde girl from her birth city of New York to there home town in North Carolina. Sadly the Kennard’s believed there daughter never needed to know about her origins and the sinful woman who had given birth to her.

    1. Hi dorval, Would love to post Chapter 5 but I’m surprised you managed to read Chapter 6. Chapter 5 disappeared when I posted Chapter 6 and I myself can’t even see Chapter 6!! I spent hours last night trying to post and with little success. Have tried to post another chapter in the very early hours of this morning and again no success. Sadly I think my return to writing has been very short lived. So Sorry.
