PART 1
”Bette, baby please come home; this is the third night in a row that you’ve stood me up. I need to do this with you tonight or it’ll be too late.”
”Too late for what?” Bette didn’t wait for Tina to answer she just kept on rambling as she always does whenever she’s distracted. It’s always her things that are more important and Tina was getting sick of it, especially right now when she was doing this really incredible thing for the both of them.
”Tee … never mind. Whatever it is will have to wait. I can’t leave here now unless it’s a life or death emergency. I’m sorry but your timing couldn’t be worse. You know how unpredictable my days are whenever we are hanging a show. It’s why I never plan anything else. I’ve got three neurotic artists all vying for my time and one of our shipments was damaged. I was on the phone for hours with the insurance company and even though we’ll get compensation that doesn’t fill the hole in my exhibit. If that wasn’t bad enough the carpenter got sick with the flu and will be down for a week. Our displays are half-built and now he decides to get sick?”
”I’m sure he didn’t do it to piss you off Bette. People get sick. You’ve probably been working them ragged. Not everyone can keep up with your pace.”
”Well if they ever want to work with the CAC again they damn well better. Luckily I was able to find a replacement. You remember Candace Jewel? She did the remodeling at the Planet.”
”You’re replacing Johnny. He’s been such a loyal worker Bette. Can’t you give him a day or two to recuperate?”
”I don’t have a day or two Tee; besides Johnny isn’t as reliable as he used to be. I think he’s getting too comfortable. I’m all about loyalty; we’ve been using his company for many years, but I need someone I can depend on. Not only does he get sick but he doesn’t have a back-up. I’m so fucked if Candace can’t finish the job.”
”So you’re just going to hire her with no experience?”
”She has experience in building sets. This is very similar. She does good work and she has a good reputation in the business. I’ve been talking to her off and on about bidding for some of the bigger jobs.

*tears* aww so perfect, im happy that Bette finally came to her senses. For crying out loud, that Provacations show has been nothing but drama and trouble for Bette, and Candace makes it no better, and if she had any sense she would stay away from both. So happy lil Angelica is in the making lol…But wow Bette you gotta lot of making up to do, especially with that hormones line..ouch!!!
What she should have said and done in the show.
All I can do is agree wholeheartedly with ‘azmama’ – this is what should have happened in the show!
Nothing like jealousy to get Bette on track. No cheating and breaking up for our favorite couple.
