New Pasadena, 10:45 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2056. New CalTech –Botanic Garden
Alice and Dana were walking around the botanic garden, their hphones are deactivated and as they are deep in each other talking, they haven’t heard the silent alarm.
Alice: “Dana, how is it that you don’t belong to any group?”
Dana: “well, most groups have been formed from students coming from the same orientation group or party buddies, but my group was a failure, a bunch of losers and I never had friends to go and party together”
Alice: “who was in your group?”
Dana: “Tonya Mathews, Candace Jewell, Dawn Dembo, Yolanda Watkins, Tayo Smith, Jared Sobel, Catherine Rothberg, Uta Refson, Hunter Kirby, Gabby Deveaux, Sean Heaney, Harrison Scott, Tasha Williams, Tasha is cool but she transferred to military-police career and I barely see her now, Harrison is also nice and he plays tennis but he is usually after boys so I was always a lone wolf”
Alice: “I know some of those, and you are right most of they suck, so you didn’t have girlfriends”
Dana: “oh yes…, I did have a girlfriend Tonya Mathews, however she was very controller”
Alice: “I partied with Tayo and Gabby, Tayo is okay but Gabby is crazy”
Dana: (smiling) “yeah…, she is”
There is an awkward silence between the girls.
Alice: “so you slept with Tonya, didn’t you?”
Dana: (looking to the ground) “why do you ask?”
Alice: (feeling uncomfortable) “oh…, I’m sorry…, I didn’t mean to be nosy”
Dana: “oh…, it’s okay, yes, I had sex with her”
Alice: (sensing that something is wrong) “do you want to talk about that?”
Dana: (looking away) “It was mi first time and Tonya was not very kind, after that, she always made me feel filthy and embarrassed”
Alice: (looking with sad and caring for her friend) “Dana…; look at me…”
Dana raises her face and with glassy eyes looks at Alice.
Alice: “she is not worthy; she is a stupid bitch who doesn’t deserve you…, Dana you are very nice and attractive, and you even do sports you are our New CalTech champion, any girl would be proud of being your girlfriend”
Dana: “do you really think so?”
Alice: (leaning her lips on Dana’s) “of course”

Phew, happy that Tina is alright!
Sciencefiction is not something that interest me, but your story is a exception.
The “changed” girls found each other, and i am looking forward to see how they are gonna rescue Louise.

You can believe it or not but I was also worry about Tina, she could decide to go to her mother that she saw through a window in the wormhole, but she came back to Bette, it was a hard decision.
Now the question is why they were attacked, lightning hitting exclusively building H-027, what do you think about that?
As far as we go, there are 12 ‘changed’ girls even though they may not be the only ones with potential abilities, however they were the ones that changed because a strong emotion, love, and their change was triggered by feeling their lovers or friends in distress or danger.
That is not usual in real live sometimes love makes us move heaven and earth even using hidden abilities, of course no like the ones in this story.
I’m very glad that you like my story and each time you guys make a comment it helps me to re-write my ideas and continue this story.

Let me see if intender correct me if I’m talking nonsense.
This means that we have a meta-human group, and Bette and Tina are
with more powers than the others … this group are humans who possuíem “biological variation” in their METAGENE. And that this gene remained dormant until activated with this extreme storm or feeling, which is Love. And this METAGENE uses the source of this action as a catalyst for such “genetic change” resulting in meta-human abilities? !! … our mother !! … It’s getting very interesting this story.
The entire universe.

Mutations are changes in the DNA sequence that regularly is present in certain population and it happens in single individual or group of individuals.
Evolution requires mutations that could be transferred to offspring
For mutations to be transferred to offspring they have to be in germ line cells (sex cells)
The mutations could take place in the following ways:
-By duplication of genes, where some of them remain originals (dominant and recessive genes)
-By activation of some genes, through environmental factors (including age)
-By mutations that take place in noncoding sequence (fragments) of DNA. DNA have sequences of units that coding traits (functions), these sequence are genes, however there are sequences of DNA that do not coding any trait (or not known genes)
Now, it is known that using biomolecular engineering or genetic engineering, the last type of mutations could be performed by “someone”

I hope I’m not boring you with these technicalities. This is what Louise is questioning herself after her third dream (former chapter); did “someone” play God altering the genetic material of the cryobanks? or was there a genetic mix of DNA from humans and other species, and now is about to be expressed? That could give some explanation or have relationship to what is called a METAGENE and METAHUMANS (in some sci-fi stories and comics, which by the way I love). But here this is not going to happen to a privileged group, but to the whole human race and in different levels and you will read what it will entail
