    The Planet was transformed for the second annual Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center charity event. The first year they’d done an 80’s theme and everyone had dressed up in 80’s attire, hair and make-up. This year it wasn’t a themed party but they’d set up a variety of entertainment venues with opportunities to donate.

This year it wasn’t a themed party but they’d set up a variety of entertainment venues with opportunities to donate. The carnival games and auctions were very popular as was the Karaoke and live bands in concert.

    The dance contest was underway. Alice and Dana did a lot of talking but they ended up scoring 8 out of 10 points. Bette and Francesca were up last and they had to beat a 9.5 score that the couple before them had just received. Robert Gee was a popular radio personality and MC for the night and had kept the momentum going.

    ”Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Next up we have the final contestants for our dance competition this evening. Not only have we been entertained by some outstanding performances but each contestant has raised $2,500 for the LA GLC so please let’s give everyone a round of applause.” When the applause died down he continued.

    ”No pressure ladies and gentlemen but for Ms. Bette Porter and Ms. Francesca Romano to walk away with first prize they need to beat the top score of 9.5. Please put your hands together for Bette and Francesca doing the Samba no pé.”

    The lights dimmed and the first sounds of the Latin beat could be heard over the din of the crowd. Everyone got quiet when the spotlights lit Bette and Francesca on opposite sides of the stage. They both looked amazingly beautiful in their dance attire and special stage makeup.

    Out of respect for Tina and having taken Kit’s advice Bette and Francesca entered the contest but they changed their routine to a variation of the Brazilian Samba which is danced solo. Bette wasn’t happy not to have done the original dance routine as a couple and saddened that other people’s opinion and speculation had more influence with her lover, family and friends on how her relationship with Francesca was viewed than what was in her heart but this was a compromise she had to make. They had spoken to the judges and were told that they could still compete as a couple even with a solo dance as long as they appeared on stage together.

    2. It was strange that such a short chapter from you. :-)
      Nevertheless, I liked it for several reasons. I’m very happy to finally Bette listen to Kit’s advice and she not danced sensual samba with Francesca.
      and it was in the time of departure Francesca, her relationship with Bette has become too tight and it wasn’t healthy for anyone.
      I continues to be concerned about Tina, she still confused and unable to set priorities in her life! I hope this changes over time. and I hope they are able to return a strong and solid foundation that they have developed in the cabin!

      • lipitora – I was surprised the chapter was so short also. I edited a lot but you are correct there was a lot of progression in the story. You will soon see what has Tina so confused. I want to get them to a good place so I will work on that as I continue to write the story. Thank you for reading and commenting.

      It was a wise decision from Francesca to move, but i am still worried about Bette’s and Tina’s relationship.

      Tina doesn’t seem to set her priorities right. I do hope you will not let her cheat with that terrible Kate woman.

      I’m Brazilian and was surprised to see that you use a popular expression correct with the proper accent.I know you could use google,but sometimes their translations are not that accurate.
      Happy to see that they moved out from Peggy’s house,and living as a proper family.Tina has to make time for this to work and stay away from Kate.
      Curious about the talk Bette and Tina were supposed to have before the dance contest,and if Tina talked about Kate’s sexual advances,subtle or not.

      • guiga – I did google the Samba danced solo. Thank you for letting me know it was correctly named. I didn’t write the conversation between Bette and Tina because it really didn’t change anything in their relationship before the dance. They still have work ahead but I want to keep them together so I will work hard to make it happen. The next chapter will get into Tina’s head a bit.

    6. Love your story and am happy that they are finally rid of Franscesa. Her clingy obsession with Bette was ridiculous. Tina had much more patience than I would have! Look forward to seeing how their relationship develops without her interference. Glad to see you posting again!

      I never liked Francesca, a wealthy which weighs raise her own child, but have time to keep glued to Bette.
      Bette feels she gave a gift? The gift was for her by chance.
      And of course all this is hard to Tina. Bette looks like the center of the universe and Tina another satellite. His boss and her friends, everything revolves around Bette.
      And Tina. Is the head of the study is not able to send away Kate?

      Bette had used clothes sambista
      uses in Brazil many people would have a heart attack,
      Bette because it has all the attributes to be a
      Battery Queen.
