    The gathering of friends

Since Bette and Tina only had a couple of hours before they had to get ready for Peggy’s dinner party so they asked David to drop them in SoHo, which was a neighborhood in lower Manhattan. SoHo was known for the locations of many artist’s lofts and art galleries. Second to Tribeca it was one of Bette’s favorite parts of New York. She loved to go there to hang out with artists but the reason Bette suggested it for their afternoon jaunt wasn’t for the art but the variety of shops ranging from trendy upscale boutiques to national and international chain store outlets. They walked and talked and popped into shops mostly browsing but each did find a few things to buy. They grabbed a cab back to the hotel where Tina was dropped off first and then Bette directed the driver to her loft so they could get dressed for dinner. An hour later David was back to pick them up for the ride to Peggy’s penthouse on Manhattan’s upper west side. He picked Bette up first then went to the hotel to get Tina.

Although Bette and Tina didn’t openly acknowledge it whenever they saw each other they were always taken aback by the other’s beauty. Bette stared admiringly at the beautiful blonde as she walked out of the hotel lobby escorted by the doorman. David had already moved to the passenger door of the town car and held it open. Tina was dressed in a stunning midnight blue off the shoulder evening dress with a split up the side that showed a generous amount of her shapely legs. As she slid into the seat next to Bette she smiled sweetly as Bette held out a hand to help her in.

Tina was a stunningly beautiful woman and Bette really liked her as a person. She was admittedly attracted but any time she considered the possibility reality would set in. Tina had heartbreaker written all over her and Bette wasn’t ready to open her heart to someone that had made it very clear that they were not interested in anything more than casual relationships. The two had become fast friends but that might be as far as it would go, especially if Bette took Peggy up on her offer to live half the time in New York. A new relationship would not withstand the separation but the thought was irrelevant since both seemed bent on keeping things platonic.

    1. Alright!…Your author’s note cleared that up!..I’m all for twists and turns!..Love how you threw the conversation about the donor disagreement from Season 1 in here…Tina needs to want a monogamous relationship first so she and Bette will be on the same page to pursue a relationship..Nice chapter and loved the interaction with TiBette..Now they can get to know each other a little better in the next chapter!

    2. Great update. Oh wow, they had THE conversation and didn’t get hurt over it. At least that will be out of the way if something does happen and they do get together and make those life altering decisions regarding having a family. Happy they are having a great time together enjoying their time together and learning more about each other. This is a very interesting story. Thanks for posting.

    3. Thnx for the update! Uhm, I`m assuming that at some point in their relationship, Jodies abuse must be adressed.
It`s going a bit slow but I like this sweet and genuine Bette so I`m going to keept at it a little bit longer:)

    4. Really pleased to have some 1 to 1 time with Bette and Tina and very nice how the Donor conversations were introduced., far better than the confrontational way in the Show.

Glad they are together in the loft and look forward to your next post.

    5. It was a very good chapter, and I’m glad that they’re getting to know each other better. and the easy-going conversation between them.
Well it seems the time is the key to this story, Bette and Tina are not emotionally in the same place. and then soon they live in two different part.
I’ will waiting ;) It will also be good to read how their lives turn out.

    6. Interesting to see their views on marriage and children. They have to be on the same page before they can go forward in a romantic fashion. But I am a huge TiBetter, so I want them to realize their fates sooner rather than too late. Excellent chapter!

    7. I quite agree with everyone here how the donor story was introduced. Unlike in the show, I love the softer side of Bette in this story, not sure when Jodies attack on her will resurface? Lets hope Tina and her connect will she is staying at Bette’s loft.

    8. Yes! I know that bette would have nothing with Dylan or Winnie.
Through their conversations talking about how each has its vision of life, and even disagreeing with certain matters, they already give beginning to the future have a solid relationship. I loved this chapter.
      10 stars.
