That evening Bette had told Tina about her trip and that Peggy had booked the time for the Cake sampling.

Bette guesses what Tina is thinking… Bette wraps her arms around Tina from behind stopping her from moving around… she whispers in her ear. Don’t worry baby I will be back in time for the cake tasting.

Tina drops her head feeling her emotions hitting her ..Sure, you will. She whispers

Bette spins her around pulling her tight…Hey; you know I will make every effort to get back here on time.

Uhhh Tina looks up into Bette’s eyes.. I’m sorry. I know you want to but that does not mean it will happen. Anything could happen. She lays her head on Bette’s chest. Tina was feeling frustrated, she had not said anything to Bette but she was wishing she had her mom with her in all this. She knew her mom could not be with her she had her grandmother to watch after. Although Bette and their friends were, there for her it was not the same but she was trying to make the best of it and now Bette is telling her she may or may not make it back in time.

Bette brushes Tina’s hair back with her hand…It’s all going to be ok baby I swear. I’ll be back in time even if I have to cut it short.

Tina pulls her head back..I know but you are also going to be away. You know I don’t do well without you, especially right now.

Tina moves back a little…Stop being sorry. Like you said, it’s your job and …I understand. She kisses Bette on the lips and pulls from her arms. I’m going to go take a shower and start dinner you go for your run. Tina leaves to the bedroom and Bette knows that her reassurance isn’t what she needed she feels sad for Tina but has a smile on the inside knowing Lynn will be there soon…She leaves takes the kids but instead of run this time she went over to practice at Kit’s studio. After she finished she called Lynn again to confirm their flight without any chance of Tina over hearing.
