*SPOILERS AHEAD* I won’t ruin it all, but just be warned.
Oh how we’ve been counting down to this like kids at the holidays. But instead of neatly wrapped gifts, Lost Girl brings us beautiful ladies, sexy times, butt kicking’s and amazing one-liners. In my opinion, it’s better than the holidays!
Let’s start with the Cast Live tweets:
Do we have your attention now? If those don’t make you want to find a way to watch the new season right now, I don’t know what does!
If you’re wondering what they’re talking about, take a look at this scene from episode
one “Like Hell Part 1.” (Sorry, I don’t know who to credit for this but I like it.)
Oh yes, that is CopDoc happening and it was ah-mazing! I for one am excited to finally have those two on the screen together.
While season four left most of us with no idea what had happened other than Kenzi and Hale died, and we all died all little inside with them. The producers promised us that this final season would wrap up everyone’s story arc as Bo battles for love and family. So where do we begin the premier? With Bo climbing a cliff in the middle of something looking like the Grand Canyon of course. That was the obvious place, right? Well she’s found the Hell Shoe and it’s all downhill from there. Literally.
Season Five kicked off with a two part premier that gave us a little bit of everything: humor, family, sex, action and Kenzi’s return. But when they giveth, they eventually taketh away. Yes Bo found her bestie after traveling to other realms, fighting a crazed Tamsin, making a deal for souls and mastering a maze that involved some rather questionable sexual healing.
As fate would have it though, nothing with the Fae is easy and Kenzi, understandably, doesn’t want to waste a second chance at life. So while we were ecstatic for the Benzi moments in episode one, we left episode two the same way we left season four, crying our eyes out.
Tamsin reignites rivalries from life’s past. Dyson tries to play hero, again, though this time it’s for Lauren.
Bo fights all kind of battles and may have awakened Hell on Earth. But for that, we will have to wait and see.
As for Doccubus, Bo was wearing the necklace, but there wasn’t nearly enough together for my liking. I’m hoping Santa brings a lot more of this before it’s all said and done.
“Anna & Zoie have such an incredible spark, it’s something that is so important to the show & important to us to sustain” Michael Grassi, Lost Girl Show Runner.
We couldn’t agree more!!
So grab some beakers full of vodka and toast the six episodes remaining in this half of the season. I think we are in for one hell of a ride!
In other exciting news: Zoie Palmer is part of the cast for the upcoming show “Dark Matter” that will air on SyFy next summer. She will play and android in the crew of humans out in space.
Also, Ksenia Solo is in the AMC show “Turn” and the upcoming season three of “Orphan Black.”
Congrats to them and I know fans everywhere are happy to see more of them on the television screen.
Till next time…
