The Roommates – Fast Forward to 2019: Chapter 43

“Why does everyone look so serious?” asked Bette, walking back into the living room.

Alice, Tasha, and Tina were sitting on the couch, staring up at her expectantly. Kit, Patricia, and Dylan had been the last guests to leave and after Kit honked, she’d gone to use the bathroom

Now they were all looking at her.

The room was softly lit, the glow of the Christmas tree lights flickering around them. But the vibe had changed. Gone was the happiness of Christmas magic and cheer. The joy seemed to have been sucked right out of the air.

“Come here, Babe,” said Tina, patting a spot beside her on the couch. It was the same couch they’d made love on not 12 hours before.

Bette gazed between Tina and Alice; her brow furrowed. “What’s going on?”

Tina sighed. “We need to talk about some things.”

Bette looked surprised. “Okay, T. Well, let’s do that when we’re alone. We still have company.”

Alice stood up. “Tina knows that I know…that she’s married. There’s more that she needs to tell you. And I wanted to be sure that she was honest.”

    Tasha raised her hand.

Alice frowned at her. “You don’t need to raise your hand.”

“I’d just like to say that I’m in no way responsible for any of this. But that I fully support you and was happy to help Alice,” said Tasha.

“Guys, what the hell are you talking about?” asked Bette.

Tina patted the couch cushion and with a deep sigh, Bette finally acquiesced and sat down. “What is so important that you have to act like this is a congressional hearing?”

Alice sat down in an armchair.

Bette stared at her. “And you…….you knew she was married and you didn’t tell me?”

The scriptwriter held up her hand in defense. “Well, I only found out a few days ago. I had planned to tell you after the party was over.”

“What?! After the party was over?” asked Bette.

“Why are you mad at me? She’s the one who’s married.”

Bette looked at Tina before returning her gaze to Alice. “She and I have discussed that. What I don’t understand is why I’m the last person in this room to know. You told Tasha before you told me?”

    1. Thanks for part of the revelation. I’m very impressed with Tina. She has a small army of specialist at hand and definitely knows what to do. Sneaky! You are right, your version of Tina is more aggressive and I like it very much!

Interesting explanation for the texts Tina sent. So it was her after all. But what did she write to Henry? And why was she blushing?

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter :-)

    2. ok Go Tina!… LOl that was a great chapter finally Alice knows all lol.. That was a lot for Bette to take in but I think she knows Tina loves her beyond anything she had every experience with anyone including Tina in the past. It shes blushing I suspect she told Henry she was leaving him for Bette and she was in love with her and he is wishing her good luck,,lol. but I will wait to see what she said to him.. Thank you

    3. Wow….Tina has really been busy. Hopefully it will be over between her Henry, Mom and Dad. So now will Bette, Tina and Tasha believe her? Hope so. Tina is one tough cookie! I do not think I would want to be on her bad side. She obviously has a lot of resources and knows how to use them.

Wonder what her communication with Henry says. Wonder what Henry will say to Mr. & Mrs Kennard. Tina still needs to get her personal belongings out of their house. She still has some cover in that she told her Dad that she would be moving to New York. Henry obviously travels a lot so there may be time available to get this done.

Love this drama….cannot wait to see what happens next. Look forward to your next chapter.
