    sam, lip service

so, at the end of most dates there’s normally that famous line. I’ll call you. whether they intend to or not people always say it. But not us. our date was rudely interupted and we didn’t say that phrase. so what does that mean for our relationship? is it doomed to go no further than the first date?

I was sat at my desk, going through even more mundane paper work when suddenly i notice a bit of a kerfuffle outside my office. someone was being taken for questionning and they sure weren’t happy about it. So i stuck my head round the door, and i saw her, cat, being escorted to the interview room. shit.

I asked someone what was going on. she’d attacked a lad, crap. but then i saw who it was and i suddenly understood her protests. The little shit that id thrown out the station just hours before for theft, had once again tried to mug someone for their phone, and cat had been on the recieving end. i was convinced she was just trying to get her phone back, like anyone would.

so i tell the lads i’d deal with it. i go in, feeling quite sorry for her but also thinking how its quite strange meeting like this and how i could be funny. girls like funny, right? so i mess with her a bit, and we laugh a bit, and i explain how she has nothing to worry about. and you know what, we arranged to go out this evening, a fresh start, a second first date. so who needs that infamous i’ll call you line anyway?
