    The Conversation

    Three weeks later……

Bette is staring out the window of a high-rise office, looking at the scenic view of Los Angeles below as she thinks about the current state of her broken marriage. She then turns around when she hears the office door open.

“So sorry to keep you waiting; my day has been crazy already, and it’s not even noon….” Joyce Wischina says with a welcoming smile, extending her hand to Bette.

Bette returns the polite smile and accepts the handshake. “It’s fine…. nice to meet you…”

Joyce silently motions toward the chairs across from her desk. “You as well…. the illustrious Bette Porter…. it’s an honor and a bit of a coincidence; I’ve been meaning to reach out about maybe buying a piece for my house in the Hamptons…” She says as she unbuttons her suit jacket, revealing a matching vest underneath.

Bette gently smiles while expertly unsnapping her suit jacket with one hand. “I would be happy to assist you. Let me know when you’re ready, and I’ll make time in my schedule….” She says as she sits down.

Joyce sits down behind her desk and leans back in her chair. “I’ll be sure to do that, but enough about me, let’s get down to brass tacks…. divorce, huh?”

“Well…. I’m just here to have a conversation right now….” Bette says as her eyes skip around the room. “I’m still not entirely sure what I want, to be honest….”

Joyce gently nods, leans forward, and folds her hands on her desk. “Well, you must be at least leaning in one direction. Is that fair to say?”

Bette sighs and hesitates before she responds. “Yes, that’s fair……”

Joyce gently smiles. “So…. let’s just talk….” She leans back in her chair and twirls her ink pen between her fingers. “What events led you here on this beautiful LA day?”

Bette once again hesitates for a beat before she responds. “My wife was unfaithful….”

Joyce smiles sinisterly. “Ooh, infidelity, my specialty…. I will gobble her and whatever lackluster sap she drags in to represent her up like a big southern breakfast my dear grandmama used to make when I would visit her in Kentucky during the summer as a kid….”

Bette rolls her eyes. “Like I said—”

    1. Michelle’s a dog and got exactly what she deserved.

Although I think Bette was far too lenient to wait three weeks to confront her. Michelle should have gotten an immediate sendoff for good.

Looking forward to Tibette rediscovering their love for one another.

    2. It turns out that Tina indirectly helped Bette not to fall into the trap of believing in Michelle’s honesty. One more sign, aside from what Michelle has noticed that Bette and Tina belong to each other even subconsciously, that Tina is the key to Bette’s happiness. If Tina hadn’t confessed what she saw, Bette would have made the mistake of believing what Michelle told her.

    3. Michelle… Michelle. You knew when you first started to date Bette, she had a history. She was angry and hurt by Tina abruptly leaving and not giving her a conversation or a chance to have some sort of relationship (friendship, or as co-parents) with their soon to be child. You knew that Bette still loved Tina or she would not have gone so far to try to find her or support her even when she did not know where she was. You knew that Bette loved her deeply and with a passion that generally only comes once in a lifetime. You also knew that even though, those feeling existed, Bette was true to you and whatever her relationship was with Tina, she would be true to you. So you allowed Bette’s past to excuse you from getting a little extra attention and sympathy from someone else. And you are surprised that Bette is calling it quits? What if it had been Bette who was sneaking off to be with Tina? Would you stay with Bette? I think not… Yeah, you made a stupid decision, now you will live with the results.

      Thanks for the chapter…

    4. Michelle, Michelle, MICHELLE…Gurl your Azz got CAUGHT IN A LIE!!!! So glad Bette got to see how EASILY you could LIE to her trying to get back in the house. And the NERVE to blame Bette for YOUR INSECURITIES, this chick is all in HER FEELINGS (Tina Lights Up YOUR WORLD Bette)!!! Running an whining to Olivia and AVA for attention…just an excuse for you to sneak and cheat!

So thankful Bette had the info from Tina about the dinner DATE. No it was not a one time hit it and quit it. She was having a full out AFFAIR with Ava and enjoying it!

Bring on the Divorce and quick witted Joyce! :)

Also WE are READY FOR SOME BETTE AND TINA storylines!!!! (PLEASEEEEEE)

I miss their LOVE in this story!!!!!!

      Thanks for the update.

    5. Hey pal,

This was soooooo good. Michelle finally getting her ass handed to her for her infidelity & lieing through her teeth.

      She doesn’t deserve Bette.

Like Marsha & thatgirl said – why is Michelle surprised at the outcome of her actions?? She’s a first class BITCH!!!

And yes to bringing on Tibette and their undeniable love for one another!
