Chapter 1

Tina is mostly keeping to herself. She goes on her daily trip to the planet, but that is all. She stays at home, cleaning, reading and cleaning some more. Bette has tried so many times to get Tina to talk, but she wont open up. She has tried everything, but still no luck.
Maybe Ill take her on a drive down to the beach? Bette thought to herself, just then she hears Tina calling from the kitchen.
Baby, Ive made breakfast Bette walks out, not dressed yet, shes still in her pjs and a tank-top. Smiling as she rounded the corner into the kitchen. Tina is already seated. She put her hand gently on Tinas head and bowed down and kissed her softly on the lips, and said Good morning. They both smiled, and Bette took her seat. Tina had made egg & bacon. Bette pours herself a glass of milk, and takes a sip.
Hey Tee, what do you say about a trip down to the beach today? The weather is perfect. She looked at Tina for answer.
I dont know, I felt like staying home today She replied, while taking a slice of bacon. Bette is a little disappointed by Tinas response. What will get her to open up, she thinks.
Tina, you cant stay in here forever, please come with me, well bring a blanket, relax on the beach, just to get out of the house for a few hours, what do you say? Bette move closer to Tina and takes her hand, and looks into her eyes. Tina sees how much Bette want this. She smiles Okay, a few hours wont hurt. Bette leans in for a kiss. They finish breakfast, get dressed and head out and down to the beach.
They dont talk much on the drive. Bette is just happy to be out of the house. The ride took about 20 minutes. They park the car. It is Bettes favourite place. Its a public beach but not a lot of people, so its great for privacy. They walk hand in hand, taking in the fresh air. They find a spot between some rocks. Tina let go of Bettes hand, and stares out at the ocean. Bette places the blanket down on the sand, next to one of the rocks. She sits down. Tina turns around. Bette motions her hand to get Tina to sit down next to her. So she does. She lean into Bette and places her head on Bettes chest. Bette put her arms around Tina and holds her tight. They stay like that for several minutes, both enjoying the company of each other and the sound of the ocean. Bette? Tina says. Hmmhmm Bette replies, completely relaxed. I love you. Bette sharpened her senses. I love you too Tina. This might be my opening, she thought to herself, maybe Ill get her to open up a bit now. Tee, if you ever want to talk, Im here, and Ill always be.
A few seconds passes, then Tina replies, I know babe.
Tina, you know we have to talk about it sooner or later, we cant avoid it forever, and we wont be able to move on, the way we both need to. Tina sits up, and looks at Bette. Im not ready yet.
When will you be ready? Because I need to talk about it, and I need to do that with you. Bette say as she takes Tinas hand. Tina sees the sadness in Bettes eyes. Im not ready yet. She continued, and stood up, ready to leave. Bette also gets up. She gathered the blanket. Tina had already begun the walk back to the car. Bette leaned back on the rock, bowed her head. What could she do to get Tina to open up? Ive tried every ***** thing.

There was no talking on the drive back either.
