Furrowing her brows, Tina slips on her shoes, “I saw you guys 3 months ago when there was that kidnapping out here. Hell, I worked with you.”
“And it was successful because you were on it, obviously.”
Rolling her eyes again at the subtle sarcasm, the blonde picks up her luggage from the bed and starts to head down the hall towards the stairs.
“Oh- Ivy got you a first-class ticket so make sure you enjoy some wine before you come out here.”
“Yeah, I’ll thank her later. I have to go. See you in a couple hours.”
“I’ll be waiting for you at the airport…”
Closing her phone, Tina picks up her suitcase and starts to head down the stairs when she hears the sound of Bette’s voice paying Madeline. She stops and soon begins to hear the voice of her friends.
“Shit…” the blonde muttered wanting to get out of the house before they got here.
Walking down the stairs, she meets Bette at the end of it. “Sorry, I have to go…” Tina says walking around the brunette and heads towards the front door.
Not letting Tina get away that easily, the brunette runs up behind her and grabs her shoulders. “I don’t even get an explanation?”
“I gave you one. A friend is hurt and I’m going out there.”
“And you don’t know for how long?” Bette asked with an eyebrow arched.
“No…” Tina said looking at the ground then at her watch looking at the time. “I really have to go if I’m going to make my flight.”
“Why didn’t you get one in the morning? We could have figured something out with Angie or took her with us.”
“It is a lot more complicated than that.”
Tina, taking a deep breath and looking around the room knowing everyone is confused by her behavior, and turns around to grab the handle of the front door. “Bette, I love you. There are things about me that you don’t know. It’s not that I wanted to hide it…okay maybe a little bit. But it is me. I don’t have to time. I really don’t have the time to explain it but a friend of mine got hurt on the job. I have to go and see her. Hell, even fill in for her.”
