    Chapter 6 In Los Angeles, Angie decided to stay with Shane. They went quickly over to the house to get a few things that she would need and some things that Bette had asked they pick up for her. But then they went over to Shane’s house. It was when they enter the house, Angie

    Chapter 6

    In Los Angeles, Angie decided to stay with Shane. They went quickly over to the house to get a few things that she would need and some things that Bette had asked they pick up for her. But then they went over to Shane’s house. It was when they enter the house, Angie feels her phone vibrating in her pocket. She takes out the phone and reads the text from her mama T.

    “Mama T is coming.” Angie says and looks up at Shane. New tears threaten to spill.

    “I knew she would. She still loves Bette and I knew she wouldn’t abandon you in this situation.” Shane replies with a soft smile.

    “But I thought Mama B didn’t want her here?” Angie asks curiously.

    “It will be hard for her, that’s for sure, but the truth is, Tina is probably the only person she truly would want by her side in this. Next to you off course.” Shane replies.

    “Do you think Carrie is with her?” Angie asks.

    “No, I don’t. Mama T wouldn’t be that stupid.” Shane replies with raised eyebrows.

    “I hope not.” Angie agrees.

    “You want something to eat before bed?” Shane asks.

    “I’m good. I think I just want to go to sleep.” Angie says.

    “Sure, let me show you your room.” Shane says as she starts walking down the hallway.

    Angie follows with her bag. After getting settled she quickly falls asleep and hoping and praying that Mama B’s operation tomorrow went well. And Mama T would be there.

    The next morning Tina is at the hospital at 7. She got to Los Angeles in the middle of the night, and she checked into a hotel close to the hospital. But she didn’t sleep so when the clock turned 6 she got up, showered, got dressed and took a taxi over to the hospital.

    She walks into the main entrance and to the reception.

    “Hi, I am wondering where Bette Porter is?” Tina asks looking at the nurse.

    “And you are related how?” The nurse asks.

    “I am in her papers. I’m her power of attorney for medical issues, Tina Kennard.” Tina replies.

    The nurse types something into her computer.

    “She is on the third floor and room 319.” The nurse replies with a smile.

    1. Carrie has no clue who Tina is. Carrie certainly is not a very mature person. Tina calls and Carrie only question is what about us or what about me. Evidently she has never had nor know anyone who ever had something come up which was a life or death situation for someone they love. No empathy and no common sense. Even if they were to marry, they would not last more than a couple of months at best.

      Great story. Wish Tina had more time with Bette before she went in to prep. It would have been nice if she could have gotten Bette calm down before she went in. I hate it that Bette got so upset. But she started to calm down, maybe it was enough.

      Great story…keeps getting better with every chapter….

    2. I can’t believe that Tina intended to marry on so selfish person, like Carrie. Tina, are you even heard phrase “rebounded girlfriend” and know what it’s mean? How you can jump from 8-9 years marriage quick in another relationship and think it’s something more than rebounding?

    3. My god, how selfiish can Carrie be, not one question of how Angie or Tina is.

      I think Tina is right to cancel the wedding, but how is it she didn’t know they don’t share the same core values. Did she jump in to the relationship like she has done before?

      I feel the sadness and heartbreak from Bette ???? Here is the woman she loves so much but needs by her side in this hard time.
