    Eros Cove—Chapter 1

    Chapter 1

“Home Sweet Home!” I happily exclaim as I roll my suitcase through the door and park it against the wall while throwing my purse in the chair next to it and immediately make myself at home on my sectional.  “Mmmm” I moan as my aching tired body is soothed by the cushions contouring around it.

I close my eyes and smile slightly before the distant ring of my cellphone interrupts my attempt to unwind. I reluctantly get up and retrieve it seeing it’s my publisher.

“Hey Gloria” I answer as I reclaim my spot on the sofa.

“You have a good flight?” She asks

“That’s morbid Bette…But noteworthy” she replies “Anyway…Ellen read your book and her producer called me today wanting to schedule you for an appearance”

“Gloria, I would have never thought in a million years my book would be such a success..When I started writing it a few years ago I didn’t think I would be here today with it sitting on top of the New York Times Best Seller’s list..”

“I did…It was brilliant, thought provoking, heart-wrenching and gave the readers a spiritual type love story to root for…We would have been idiots to pass on that..And I know your second novel is going to be another best seller by what you have sent me already”

“Oh that reminds me…When I was in New Orleans I met this artist and asked her if she would design the cover for me..I am hoping to hear from her” I say and hoping that I do
