“I’ll catch you later Carla?” She yells at her teammate and waves as I see her take a deep breath before walking towards me..

“Hey” she acknowledges me after ignoring me the whole fucking day “What are you doing here?” She asks and gives me a wide smile.  God she can just make me melt with her smile….Shit..Why the hell did I just think that?..

“Why have you been ignoring me all day?” I say quickly to get those thoughts out of my head and not focus on how incredibly sexy she looks with her mocha skin glistening from the sweat …Jesus what the hell is wrong with me

“What?…No I haven’t” she says trying to convince me and herself but I’m not about to let this go

“Help me up” I say as more of a demand than an option…I hold my hand out waiting for her to place hers in mine and she does pulling me up quickly…and a little strongly I may add as my body accidentally smashes into hers…I suddenly felt flushed….Shit…What is happening to me right now as I immediately step back.  Why am I suddenly freaked out by my body touching hers…I mean she is covered in sweat.  Maybe that’s it..Yeah that’s it because I mean I don’t want my clothes all sweaty right?..Yeah that’s definitely the reason

“Sorry about that” she says giving me a shy glance.  I mean since when is she shy

“It’s ok…But Damn Bette couldn’t you have showered or something before you left practice”

She chuckles “The showers aren’t working because of a busted water line or something and none of us were going to use the boys shower even though they aren’t even here..I’m sorry if I got you all nasty”

I waved her off and shrugged “It’s fine” I say as I shift my stance onto my other foot “Can we talk?”

“Uhmm…Yeah…Uhhh..How did you get here?” She asks

“I never left…I told Kenneth I was staying and waiting for you”. I say seeing Bette’s face turn into a frown…For some reason she doesn’t like my boyfriend.  I mean he has been the first boyfriend I have had….and I have talked about my crushes with her before so I’m not sure why she has a problem
