    Bella's POV

I sighed and let my head fall lightly against the head rest, and could just see Edward raise an eyebrow. I suddenly felt his arm wrap around my waist and pull me aginst him, though we were in different seats.

"Please, explain to me again why we have to repeat school." I asked softly, knowing perfectly well he could hear me.

"Because," He started equally as soft, though it sounded like he was talking normally to me. "Everyone in this family needs an alibi and six of us need to attend highschool for those alibis to work." I groaned and buried my face in his shirt. "And if you think the attention you've recieved now is bad, highschool is ten times worse."He chuckled but I scowled.

I lifted my head and my eyes scanned the first class section of the plane. My gaze finally rested on six other familiar passengers. Across the aisle sat Rosalie, Emmet, Carlisle and Esme. To Edward's right were Jasper and Alice. I had opted for the window seat for two reasons.

One, I just loved looking out the windows when I flew! And two, though I love her dearly, I just couldn't stand sitting eight hours next to a hyper Alice. Every ten minutes, she and Emmet took turns pressing the service button then acted stupid when the extremely patient stewardess came.

Now, Alice bounced lightly in her seat and Jasper sent out waves of relaxation. It was doing wonders on the rest of us, but the jokesters seemed perfectly immune. Edward reached for my hand and I ignored the brief selection of memories and important happenings that would take place in my husband's life. He could see my expression change and his twisted to one of worry. I smiled, hoping that he'd buy it.

Even after twenty years, I was still trying to get a handle on my 'ability'. It's actually quite confusing and often ends with me very frustrated when I try to figure out how it works. As Edward can read thoughts and Jasper can alter emotions, I have a special power of my own.

When I have any physical contact, be it a hug or a hand shake, I can see memories, recent happenings, or future events concerning that person. It wasn't exactly as good as Alice's visions, but it could be pretty darn useful. Of course, Edward still couldn't read my thoughts, and for a couple of weeks following my change, Jasper couldn't change my emotions and Alice's visions of me were sort of blurry. And let's just say Emmet wasn't exactly the strongest Cullen in the family for a while, but that was normal for a newborn.

I sighed as all this ran through my mind, I was so glad that things were semi-normal again. Aside from my being a vampire and all. As I surfaced from my thoughts, I realized I had taken Edward's hand in both of my and had traced my fingers along the contours of it. I looked up to see him smiling, beaming actually, at me.

There was an emotion in his eyes, not the usual hunger I had grown ever so used to seeing, but the never leaving devotion of love that sparkled in his topaz eyes. I smiled and let go of his hand before resting my head on his shoulder. He kissed me briefly on the cheek and I smiled. A few seats ahead of me, I groaned as I heard a man say,

"Wake up, sweetie! Only fourty five more minutes until we reach Washington."
