Bette and Tina’s House
221 Norton Avenue
The sun came through the blinds in the bedroom, hitting Bette’s skin. Tina stood in the doorway of their bedroom, dressed only in one of Bette’s tailored shirt. She was nursing a cup of tea, watching her sleep. She could tell that it was the first time that Bette had got a good night’s sleep in weeks. She put her cup of tea down and looked down at her woman. She very gently pushed her hair out of her face.
She didn’t want to think about what had happened while she was at Dinah Shore, she wanted to think about their relationship, their love for each other. She wasn’t about to give up this seven year relationship.
She had never wanted any other woman. She had fallen in love with Bette Porter. She was still madly in love with Bette Porter. She knew that they had to work at this.
Bette opened her eyes, looking at her woman. She was overjoyed to see her there.
“Morning baby.” Bette asked.
“Morning. Babe, how did you sleep?” Tina asked softly.
“Best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while.”
“And we didn’t even have sex.” Tina grinned.
Bette pulled her woman down and kissed her lips.
“No, but being with you, relaxing with you means so much to be.”
“I meant what I said. We need to make more time for each other. We got wrapped up so badly in making a baby, we forgot about us. Maybe I should find a job again.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, yes I want us to have a family and a baby but I also want us back to how we should be. I love you. I don’t want to lose you. You’re my first, last and forever.”
“You’re not going to lose me.” Bette said. “I only want you, and everyone else can fuck off.”
“Promise me that this Candice will work through James.”
“I will arrange it. I promise you.”
“I would do anything for you.” Bette replied.
“And I you.” Tina moved forward and kissed her lips. “Would you like some breakfast?”
“Yes. I will just have a shower okay baby?”
