    Like Mother-Like Daughter

    Garden District- Sunday Night

Tina sat alone in her bedroom, looking at her reflection in the full-length mirror. Twirling a knife in her hand, she let the blade sink into her finger. Hearing a knock at the door, she quickly turned around to see her mother peeking her head in.

Tina turned back around, still holding the knife in her hand. “We have to inform her parents.”

Fiona nodded, coming in and sitting on the bench near a desk in the corner. “Do you want to, or shall I?”

“Doesn’t matter,” Tina mumbled, shaking her head. “How did I not notice something was wrong?”

Fiona shrugged, looking down at the ground. “I didn’t either, darling.”

“Why would you?” Tina questioned with a small smile. “You come and go as you please. You don’t have a connection with these girls. I do.”

“While that might be true,” Fiona softly smiled back. “When one witch goes down, it weakens the rest of us.”

Tina nodded absentmindedly, “I should have been paying attention.”

“Honey,” Fiona said, coming up to kneel in front of her only child.

“No, mother,” Tina shook her head, twirling the knife around in her hand. “All of their parents trust me to protect them…and now Chloe is dead.”

“We don’t know that for sure,” Fiona said, rubbing the knee of Tina.

Tina rolled her eyes, “she’s dead. I can’t feel her.”

Fiona bit her lower lip, tilting the younger blonde’s head up. “I know,” she whispered. “We will get revenge- regardless of who it is.”

Tina looked up at her mother, “I thought you said you knew it was Marie…you don’t think it was her?”

“Before I came back here,” Fiona whispered, scooting the blonde over so she could sit down next to her, “I was in L.A.”

“I thought you were in Norway?” Tina questioned, smiling at Fiona.

Fiona chuckled, shaking her head. “I was-but I left. Too cold, darling.”

Tina made a noise of agreement.

“Do you know why I sent you here after you graduated from high school?” Fiona questioned, looking at both their reflections in the mirror.

“Uh- to help me improve and control my powers?” Tina questioned, staring at their reflections as well.

“Well…” Fiona trailed off, tucking a blonde hair behind Tina’s ear, “that’s true, but there’s more.”

    1. Thank you for the chapter! Absolutely don’t like how Tina killed boy in cool blood. She’s absolutely have no value for human life, besides her little coven of witch. And human sacrifice. I don’t know, but for now even Marie seems more human, than Tina

    2. definitely liking the american horror story link. interesting story. me wonders if bette is the link to this family and covens, unknowingly allowing herself to become part of a grander master plan for the two feuding rivals.
I seem to get a sense that perhaps later, bette will be that “missing link” that connects the families of New Orleans together and binds peace between two life long mortal enemies. too much to hope for? and exactly “how old” is tina? will immortality be sacrificed for true love? so many possibilities await.

thanx for taking the time to share. always a pleasure to walk with your adventures through the quarter and the city. definite thumbs up to an interesting story well told. by the way….this tina and bette….WELL MATCHED!
