So, I’m the type of person who likes to picture people in my head while reading stories. Sometimes I make up what they look like, and other times, like these types of stories, I already know what they look like. Since I introduced quite a few new characters, I put a list of names at the end of this chapter that show who I based them off of.
If you’re one of those people who like to make up what characters look like in your head then by all means, continue! If you want to see how I picture the new gang: Delia, AJ, Ivy, etc., in my head while writing this story, you can skip to the very last page, follow the links or google the names if you are not familiar with them, and see for yourself.
Los Angeles- October 26, 2009- Monday
“Alright, Angel. Where is your luggage that we packed up for you?” Bette asked her daughter.
“In my room, Mama,” the little girl answered as she got her jean jacket on. “Are we going to see Mama T today?”
“Tomorrow, baby. But we are leaving tonight.” Bette replied as she went into Angie’s room and picked up her suitcase. Walking back out towards the living room, she looks at her daughter. “Alright, I have to drop you off at school and then head to work so I can get everything done in time.”
“Alright…” Taking a deep breath, “let’s go, baby.”
Wentworth-Porter Art Gallery:
“Morning, James.” Bette said as she walked through the front doors of the gallery.
“Morning, Bette.” James answered, handing her a coffee. “You seem a little…stressed.”
“Stressed is an understatement,” the brunette replied taking a sip of her coffee. “Are you sure you are able to handle everything with Kelly for two weeks?”
“Don’t worry. If anything goes wrong, I’ll call you. You can do everything online or by phone.”
“I know…” Bette trailed off. “I guess I’m just nervous.”
Breathing deeply, she leaned against James desk. “Everything. I’m literally nervous about everything.”
Tilting his head to the side, James looked at his boss. “Well… I’m sure you will get along with Tina’s team.”
Cocking her brow, she looked at her assistant.
