    How the hell does Spencer keep getting in????

     

    “You have too much faith” Ashley replied crossly.

     

    Spencer shrugged and leaned back on her arms. “We still have half the summer to go.” She was silent as her toe drew in the sand. “I’m sorry I ruined the first half.” She was quiet in her words, thoughtful and genuine.

    Ashley didn’t remove her arm from her eyes, she didn’t move, but she considered her answer very carefully. Eventually she went for the platitude. “You didn’t.”

     

    “I did.”

     

    “It’s over Spencer, things are ok now.”

     

    “I spoke to Aiden,” Spencer admitted.

     

    That got Ashley to move her arm. She regarded Spencer through low hooded eyes, hiding her expression from the blonde.

     

    “What about?” the brunette enquired, trying to keep the question casual.

     

    “About us. Me and him, me and you. Everything that happened.”

     

    Was she saying what Ashley thought she was saying? Did she tell Aiden about camp? Christ… no wonder he’d been avoiding her for the last few days. Should she ask Spencer? Wait…

     

    “I told him about you and me, and the things that happened on camp.” Spencer answered the unasked question anyway, and Ashley let out an inner sigh of relief. “I thought he had a right to know. And I thought you had a right for him to know.”

     

    “What I do is none of Aiden’s business.” Ashley said.

     

    “I know, but… still, if I’m going to sort all this out, I should be honest. At least then he’ll be less surprised when… if…” Spencer cut her sentence off mid air. Ashley chanced a look at her and couldn’t help a wry grin when she saw the deep blush extending across the blonde’s creamy skin.

     

    “I know what you mean” she rescued her. “Must have been hard though.”

     

    “I tried to make it seem like I wasn’t using him as much as I was.” Spencer admitted. “He’s a nice guy, I didn’t want to hurt him. I think he figured it out though.”

     

    “You did the right thing” Ashley reassured.

     

    “Yeah, well, still sucks. I hate being the bad guy.” The sentence was punctuated by a piece of seaweed being flung from Spencer’s rock and landing with a thud on the sand.

    2. My mouth dropped when I read smurfturkey’s prediction. I think its kinda soon to tell but, still……I don’t think I want Spencer to be pregnant. Because in all reality, Ashley should RUN! (or maybe that’s just something I would do….lol even though its not funny) That girl has issues like I don’t know what!

She tried not to indent the edges, so it looked like only one person had come across the sand.” sigh. when i read that it just reminds me of soppy sentimental chinese/korean drama series. can’t remember the significance of it but i bet it was something incredibly romantic bout it. love this sweet update!!! :)
