…And It Feels Like – (Chapter: What We’re Up Against: Part 1)
Chapter 1: "What We’re Up Against"
——————————–
As a teenager, they all believed it. ‘It could never happen to me.’ Even with the battles they faced, the tears they’d cried… it could never happen. The ages they were, the way that they lived and loved- all hard, fast, and never looking back, reality would never catch up with them. But in the quiet, here it was. A phenomenon, just as raged as the silent screams and pleas around them- people believing it all just like them, now scattering for the comfort. It was ironic, not one of them were alone- but all of them felt the emptiness fill inside and push everything good- everything right away survival now becoming key.
It’s just you against the world now.
"Aiden-" The weight of Aiden crushing down onto every possible crevace reserved for oxygen weighing down on Ashley’s lungs weakened her, short spurts of breath leaping into her air passage at every moment possible as she writhed underneath him. Even with the scaled view that she had, underneath Aiden’s broad shoulder the footsteps around her all passed, none of the pairs stopped scattering at every pounding screech of the pavement thinking the shooters routed around for another encore. Ashley didn’t even care to realize the reason why Aiden’s body engulfed over hers why the moist sensastions filling over her adomen should’ve called reason to alarm, the lack of oxygen that quickly started to creep away from underneath him prevented her. "Aiden!" Agains she repeated his name, hollering just as much as her collasped ribcage would allow her to project, the pain streaking tears down her face the ringing filling into her ears adding more uncomfort with the shrill screams and sirens approaching but would only pass by.
This is what it felt like to die.
She knew the processes studying the ways of the passing from the many near death expirence auto-epics, the television specials, and segments. First, one second. Your life flashed before your eyes. She expected to see the usual: family, friends, regret. Happiness, sadness, remorse. Like everyone. Well, everyone that lived to tell about it. Instead, like the chemically imbalanced person that she was, physically unflawed but mentally faulty, she hadn’t seen the flow of life whip past her eyes. In fact, all she had seen were eyes. Her own, and his.

Ashley can’t bring herself to choose between Aiden and Spencer but she REALLY needs to. Everyone is really going to hanging in limbo until she does. I can’t wait until school starts and they all have to see each other again. Please tell me you are going to bring it all back to Spashley in the end. PMS!

Wow..Full of emotions…full of pain…so descriptive.Ashley has always been my favorite character…pain and insecurities hidden under false confidence and “tough chick” image….But now, I feel bad for Spencer, after being treated like crap, going through so much for someone who is somehow using her as a rock to hang on to…People don’t give her enough credit, I may be some of them, but I think she’s strong enough to slowly but surely get over Ashley…Well…anyway…PMS, I loved it!
