I Write Sins Not Tragedies – (Chapter: Where’d They Go?)

I normally can’t stand mornings. I like to sleep in and I love taking advantage of the weekends. I once threw a book at Glen for waking me up early on a weekend. It was a pretty damn big book too. But today is different. Today I love the morning. Especially since I’m waking up next to the most beautiful person ever. I woke up at nine…definitely early for me. I was gong to just go back to sleep, but then my brain caught up with me and I realized I was in bed with Ashley, and it was the most amazing feeling in the world. I look over at her and realize she is awake as well.

“Did ya sleep well?” she asks softly, and I nod my head in response.

“How long have you been awake?” She glances over at the clock.

“About twenty minutes. I didn’t want to wake you up, but I didn’t want to get up either. I just can’t believe that you’re really here. I could get used to waking up with you next to me,” she admits the last part quietly. A shy smile graces my lips and I’m sure I must be blushing. “You’re adorable when you blush,” she comments. I look down to avoid her intense gaze, but she lifts my chin up so I’m looking at her, and she kisses me. Of course, us being us, things soon get pretty heated. I move to straddle her, and as we’re letting hands roam and moans escape us, the door opens, and we both instinctively pull back.

“Hey, Ash, is this Mu-Shoo Pork okay?” Kyla asked as she walked in. She suddenly looked up from the Chinese food in her hands and became pale and then blushed profusely. I could tell she was trying to remind herself that we weren’t together anymore. I sank down into Ashley’s bed feeling rather embarrassed. I could also see the hurt in her eyes. “Because…we got it on Tuesday, and there’s pork in it…I’m just…gonna go.” Ashley and I both look at each other feeling guilty even though we’re not technically cheating anymore. We both know it’s killing Kyla inside, and she’s been handling things fairly well. Okay, granted she was gone for an entire week, but maybe she needed the escape.
