Answering machine: Hi, its Dana. I cant take your call right now so leave a message and Ill call you back.
Alex: Hey Dane. Its Alex. Call me. Ive got some great news! Bye!

Scene: The Planet
Alex walks in, orders a latte. Marina notices her and walks over.

Alex: Do you have a minute?
Marina: Yes, come back.

Marina motions to her office. Alex follows Marina back. Alex composes herself and sits down. Marina leans against her desk, arms folded across her chest.

Alex: Look, I need to tell you that I found a place. I’m moving out in a week.

Marina is silent.

Alex: Look, Marina, I know that you dont want me to move out. Cant you please try to understand what I am going through?
Marina: And I want to help you.
Alex: You have helped me. You have given me a place to stay and I am so grateful.
Marina: I want you Alex. I waited for you. (she approaches Alex)
Alex: (pushing Marina away) Marina, you are really starting to freak me out. I am offering you my friendship. I have apologized for what happened before. Can you please accept that?

Marina quietly leaves the office.

Phone call

Dana: Hello?
Alex: Hey- its Alex.
Dana: Whats wrong?
Alex: Its Marina. I need to get out of her place. Sheshe is just not handling this well and I cant stand to be around her anymore. She is getting freaky.
Dana: (matter of factly) Stay with me.
Alex: Oh god, Dana- are you sure? I dont want to burden you.
Dana: Alex. Please. Stay with me- as long as you need.
Alex: Well thats also why I was calling. Thats my exciting news- Im taking the place in your building!! And its going to be ready by the end of the month so I only need to crash for a week.
Dana: Oh Alex! I am so excited! Ive got to start planning your house warming party!
Alex: Nononone of that.
Dana: Yes! Yes! Lots of that.
Alex: Alright, well Im going to pack up my ***** and head over later.
Dana: Ok hun.
Alex: Thank you Dana.
Dana: Youre welcome”Alex..

Alex chuckles.

Alex: Alright Ill see you later.
Dana: Bye!

Dana picks up her keys and heads out the door.
