    Ashley arrives (read authors notes)

    PREVIOUSLY:  

    Spencer’s thoughts: “I’d rather have her hear it from me than psycho. But its gonna be so hard.” Spencer mustered up her courage and called Ashley.

    Ashley: “Hello?”

    Spencer: “Yea, hi ash.” Jen paced the room.

    Jennifer: “Enough with the small talk, just get her over here!” she yelled only loud enough for Spencer to hear.

    Ashley: “Are you ok Spence?”

    Spencer: “Can you come over?”

    Ashley: “Yea, I’ll be there in a few minutes.” They hung up the phone.

    Jennifer: “So she’s coming?”

    Spencer: “Why you’re doing this?”

    Jennifer: “Hmm…I’m bored I guess.”

    Spencer: “Sadistic freak.”

    Jennifer: “But you enjoyed that about me, not too long ago. And it’s not like I forced you to go along with it.”

    Spencer: “Well it’s not like I had much of a choice either!”

    Jennifer: “I didn’t put a gun to your head , I didn’t have a knife to your throat, I didn’t threaten your life in any way. You went along with this because you wanted to.” Spencer just held her face in her hands. Ashley walked in.

    Ashley: “Hey Spencer what’s u…” she saw Jen standing in the room. “What the fuck is she doing here?” she asked in a slow angry tone, while pointing to Jen. Spencer inhaled deeply.

    Spencer: “Ash…whatever happens, I just want you to know I love you.”

    Ashley: “Spencer…” she looked at Jen then back at Spencer. “…what’s wrong?” she asked worried.

    Spencer: “I…um…” she gulped. Jen just watched. “…I…we…” Jen cut her off

    Jennifer: She sighed loudly. “Well, since Spencer can’t seem to spit it out, I guess I’m gonna have to.” She crossed her arms and looked at Ashley, and Ashley looked at her.

    Ashley: “Well somebody better fuckin’ tell me what’s going on. Like now!” Jen grinned at Ashley’s eagerness and nodded.

    Spencer: “I’m…” Jen cut her off.

    Jennifer: “Spencer’s cheating on you.” she said nonchalantly. Ashley furrowed her eyebrows. “With me.” she said nonchalantly. Ashley just looked at her, then turned her attention to Spencer who was looking at her hands, biting her lip and on the verge of tears.

    Ashley: She bit her lips together. “She’s lying…right Spence?” tears teased the brim of her eyelids. “You’d never do that to me.” she said in denial. “Tell me, she’s lying!” Spencer opened her mouth to speak, but closed it. “Tell me!!!” she shouted, tears rolling down her cheeks. Spencer was crying.
