Bette lay awake holding Tina in her arms and being completely content in watching her sleep. She glanced at the clock and saw that it was almost three in the morning but she didnt care. She turned her attention back to Tina who was breathing lightly and evenly and Bette could see a small smile play across her lips every few minutes or so. They were in Tinas bed and Bette had never been so excited just to fall asleep next to someone so that she could wake up next to them the following morning. Bette was propped up a little on two pillows while Tina used Bette as her personal body pillow. They had been watching a movie and Tina fell asleep about thirty minutes before it was done. Bette smiled to herself as she looked at Tinas soft features and noticed how peaceful and calm she looked. Her eyes traveled down to Tinas arms and she loved how they were wrapped so tightly against her body. Tinas left leg was intertwined with Bettes right one and Bette thought it looked perfect. Bette had never experienced anything like last night and she didnt want to fall asleep because she was afraid that if she did, she would wake up tomorrow alone in her own bed. Every moment she spent with Tina was amazing and after last night she knew that she wanted Tina in her life for good.

Bette placed a small kiss on Tinas forehead and quietly laughed as Tina unconsciously turned her head towards Bettes. Bette gently moved them so that she was lying face to face with Tina and she watched Tina fall back into a deep sleep as she remembered the events of last night.

Dinner had been great and for the first time Tina asked Bette if she wanted to come inside for a while after their date. They usually parted ways after their evening was over and Bette was happy that Tina had become comfortable enough with their relationships to invite her in. She kissed Tina playfully as she backed her into the house kicking the door shut with her foot. Tina let out a giddy laugh as they fell onto the couch and Bette suddenly found herself in a very compromising situation. Bette lifted herself slightly off of Tina knowing that Tina might not be ready for this, but when Tina pulled her back down to lay next to her, Bette willingly obliged. Tina looked into Bettes eyes for a second and Bette could see her love and admiration she had for Tina reflected back in Tinas eyes. Tina leaned in for a kiss and Bette immediately responded to Tinas mouth on hers. Tina let out a soft moan as Bette ran her tongue over Tinas lips and she opened her mouth allowing Bette access. Their tongues danced with each other for what seemed like forever before Bette felt Tina pull her a little so that Bette was lying on top of Tina.

Bette pulled away and looked down into Tinas eyes. Both women were breathing heavily and Bette knew that Tina wanted to make love to her, she just didnt know if she was ready to. Tina traced her finger along Bettes jawbone and Bette smiled as Tinas fingers moved up to trace the outline of her lips. Bette opened her mouth and gently took one of Tinas fingers into her mouth. She bit the tip lightly, and when Tina didnt pull her hand away she slowly took the whole finger in her mouth and watched Tinas facial expressions as she sucked lightly on it. Tina had a lopsided smile on her face and Bette wanted to freeze time so that she could remember that look forever. Tina withdrew her finger and Bette could see the desire in Tinas eyes. She was pretty sure she had a similar look in her eyes, but for some reason she knew that Tina wasnt ready to do this. They had a big night, with Tina meeting her friends and all, and Bette didnt want to make Tinas head spin too much. With one last look into Tinas eyes she gently lowered herself and gave Tina a slow kiss on the mouth.

Bette was willing to take this as far as Tina would let her, but she knew she wouldnt let it go too far. Bette kissed her way down Tinas cheek to her collarbone and heard Tinas breathing quicken as she ran her tongue along the bone and gently nipped at the soft skin. Bette kissed her way back up to Tinas neck and when she found the right spot Tina let out a soft moan of appreciation. Bette ran her hands along Tinas body and when she got to the bottom of her tank top she tentatively ran her thumb along Tinas stomach. Tina didnt freeze up at this so Bette slowly slid her hand up Tinas top until her fingers brushed the underside of Tinas bra. Bette felt Tina run her hands through Bettes hair and when Bette kissed her way back up to Tinas mouth she was met with a deep and passionate kiss from Tina. Bette let her hands tease the skin around Tinas bra and she knew Tina was getting aroused by the feel of the goose bumps on her skin. Bette lightly cupped Tinas breast with her hand and she felt the nipple harden under her touch. Bette moved hips so that one leg was between Tinas and she groaned when she felt Tina slowly start to rock her hips against Bettes thigh.

Bette felt a familiar sensation building between her own legs and she knew if she didnt stop this soon there was no turning back. Bette gently pinched Tinas nipple through her bra and heard a soft moan escape Tinas lips. Bette ran her hand back down Tinas stomach and finally pulled it out from under her top. Bette lifted herself again and looked Tina in the eye trying to figure out if Tina wanted this to happen or not. Bette could see the excitement in Tinas eyes but she also saw a little bit of fear. Bette knew that Tina was still having issues about being involved with a woman so she gave her a loving smile and a gentle kiss before sitting up and pulling Tina up with her. They were both breathing hard and Tinas face was flush with arousal. Bette smiled at her and almost started crying at the sight of Tinas face looking back at her. Tina looked so happy and Bette didnt think it was possible to love someone this much.

After a few minutes Tina stood up and walked into the kitchen. Bette could see that she was trying to calm herself down and she smiled to herself, knowing the state she had worked Tina into. They never actually talked about ***** and when Tina would be ready to do it, but Bette knew that in time it would happen. It wasnt something she could rush and Tina knew she had to get used to the idea first otherwise it wouldnt be as special as she wanted. Tina retrieved a bottle of wine and two glasses and walked back to the living room. She poured a glass for Bette than one for herself and as she handed Bette her glass she sat down next to her before finally crawling in her lap. Bette took a sip of wine and sighed happily as they just sat there in silence. After a few minutes Tina spoke and Bette knew she had made the right decision about not pushing Tina too far tonight.

So how long have you known Alice and Mimi and Ivy?

Well, Ive known Alice for about three years and Mimi and Ivy for about five. I met Mimi when I moved out here after college and she was friends with Ivy at the time.

I thought they had only been together for a year.

They have. They were in the same group of friends and they tried the I promise not to date my friends thing, but it didnt last. They are so right for each other that it was pointless to try and find someone else.

What about Alice?

I met her one night at a club and we dated for about two months. We both saw that it was a mistake but weve been friends ever since.

You dated her? Did you date Mimi too?

Bette smiled when she heard the slightest bit of jealousy in Tinas voice, and she never thought that having someone be jealous of her past would make her happy. Usually Bette didnt put up with the typical girl bullshit that comes with a ***** relationship, but with Tina it was different. It made Bette happy to know that Tina was a little possessive over her, but she quickly smothered any possible insecurities Tina may have had.

No, I didnt date Mimi too. We have just been good friends for a long time but we both know it would have been a huge mistake if we ever dated. Were too alike and that would lead to a bad relationship. But baby, that was all such a long time ago and ever since I met you my life has changed, but in a good way.

Changed how?

Well, as Alice obnoxiously pointed out tonight, you are the first person Ive met that I didnt hook up with right away then share all the details with Alice or anyone.

Why didnt you tell Alice about me when we first met?

Oh Alice knew about you, remember she was there at the MOCA opening. So she knew that I was interested in you and that we had started dating, but she didnt get any more information than that and I think it was starting to get to her. She feels like she knows me better than anyone and I think shes just jealous that she has a little competition now.

Bette leaned down and kissed Tina softly after she said this and when she pulled away Tinas eyes were dancing out of pure joy. Tina let out a small laugh and she playfully teased Bette a little bit more.

So are you that close with all your exes?

Actually no. Alice just seemed to stick around for some reason and I have to admit its kind of nice.

So you were a heartbreaker then.

Thats a matter of opinion.

Bette and Tina laughed at this and Bette glanced at her watch to see what time it was. She saw that it was getting late and she decided to call it an evening.

Hey baby, its getting kind of late. Maybe I should get going.

Or you could just spend the night.

Tina blushed when she said this and she wasnt sure if Bette would be okay with this. She quickly tried to correct herself but was glad when Bette agreed to stay.

I mean, if you want to. We could watch a movie or something or just sit here and talk more. But if you have stuff to do tomorrow its okay.

Relax baby, I would love to spend the night.

They decided to watch a movie and since the only DVD player in the house was in Tinas bedroom she decided to run upstairs and make sure her room was clean. She threw all of her clothes back in the closet and shut the door before going back downstairs to get Bette. She took Bettes hand and led her upstairs and Tina didnt know if Bette wanted to change or not, so she told her that there were extra pajamas in her dresser drawer but Bette said she was okay. Tina quickly changed out of her jeans and into a pair of baby blue cotton pajama bottoms. She took off her bra but kept her tank top on and she popped a movie into the DVD player before climbing into bed next to Bette. At first she was a little nervous about having Bette in her bed, and she was having a hard time concentrating on the movie. All she could think about was Bette lying next to her and how badly she wanted to kiss her. Bette wasnt really watching the movie either and she kept watching Tina out of the corner of her eye. She could see that Tina was a little nervous so she gently reached out and pulled Tina towards her. Tina relaxed when she felt Bettes arm around her and soon she was comfortably enjoying her favorite movie with her girlfriend right there beside her. Bette shifted a little bit and Tina smiled to herself as she snuggled into Bette. Sleep was making Tinas eyelids heavy and before she knew it she had fallen asleep in Bettes arms.

Bette sighed to herself again as she continued to watch Tina sleep. She was getting tired and soon she had fallen into a deep sleep herself. She had a dream about making love to Tina and when she woke up the next morning she was surprised to see Tina still lying next to her watching her sleep. Bette smiled at Tina and Tina had a look of sheer happiness on her face.

Tina looked at Bette and knew this was something she wanted to do everyday. She wanted Bette to be the first thing she saw in the morning and the last thing she saw at night. She ran her fingertips along Bettes face and pushed a stray lock of hair out of her face. Bette smiled at this gesture and turned her head to kiss Tinas wrist. Tina could have laid in bed next to her all day but she felt her stomach growling and she knew she was starving. She got out of bed and as she walked to the kitchen to make breakfast she turned to Bette and had a mischievous look in her eye.

Bette?

Yeah?

What do you want for breakfast? Because from the sound of it you had one ***** of a dream last night.

At first she had no idea what Tina was talking about, but when she remembered her dream she turned bright red out of embarrassment. Tina was standing in the doorway laughing and Bette quickly jumped out of bed and chased her down the stairs. When she finally caught up to her Tina had tears in her eyes from laughing so hard and Bette couldnt say anything so she just pulled her in for a deep kiss. It was at that moment that Bette knew because of Tina, her life would never be the same again because Tina was the only one for her.
