Entertainment Weekly confirms what Ilene Chaiken, Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Kate Moennig have been hinting at for a few months: THE L WORD will return to Showtime!
Can I get an AMEN?!
EW reports:
Co-creator Ilene Chaiken will be an executive producer of the series with a new writer/EP with ties to the lesbian community brought in to run the production and once again chronicle the friendships and love lives of modern gay women.
Sources reveal that stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey will executive-produce as well as appear on the series if it moves forward. Other characters from the original series may also pop up and will be paired with a whole new cast of women.
We’ll have much more coverage in the weeks (and, unfortunately, months) to come. In the meantime, check our article The L Word – Where We Left Them, a quick overview of where we left our woman 8 long years ago.

Does someone knows if Laurel will comeback with the show, because apparently Rachel already said yes,

In an interview Rachel Shelley did with Laurel on her exhibition shown these days at Bankside Gallery in London, Laurel answered a similar question with “never say never”, but she mentioned her fully booked schedule for the next two years with an exihibition coming up in Milan next year.
