    “Well about five hours after they brought you in, we were all sitting in the waiting room-” Spencer began.

    Spencer paced by the chairs nervously waiting for Ashley to come out of surgery. Along with a serious bump on the head, her girlfriend had sustained major injuries to her spleen and had to be taken in to have it removed immediately. Every time the door to the Emergency Room swung open her heart jumped into her chest. Aiden sat in the last chair with his head cradled in his hands. A few people from school were scattered across the waiting room including the guys from Ashley’s band. The police had questioned the witnesses for three hours before throwing the driver of the oncoming car in jail. All Spencer could think of while she sat in the musty smelling police office, was that she wanted to get to Ashley as soon as possible but now that she was here, she could do nothing.

               

     

     

     

     

    So she paced, on and on until she was sure the carpet underneath her was going to shred to pieces. The outdoor entrance to the Emergency room slid open and a tall woman with dark hair and dark eyes walked in screaming on a cellular phone.

               

     

     

     

     

     

     

    “I don’t give a damn if you think you can’t do it, make it happen or we’re through. Fucking Finito! Jesus, imbecile,” she slid her thin black phone into her lime green snakeskin bag. The older woman marched up to the help desk and rang the bell at least twenty times right in front of the receptionist, who merely raised an eyebrow at all the women’s commotion.

               

     

     

     

     

     

    “Look, I just flew in from L.A. and I have a flight to catch in eight hours, so I can get back in time for my appointment with the best plastic surgeon in the world. I got a voicemail saying that my child was being held here, I want to see her now. What room is Ashley Davies in?” She demanded to know, tapping a stiletto heel against the tile floor. Spencer heard Ashley’s name and recognized the woman at once. The woman could have almost passed as Ashley’s not very much older sister. The receptionist looked bored and told Diane to sit with the rest of the kids. Spencer made her way over to the obviously impatient woman and sat down next to her with her hands folded in her lap.

I hope this feeling is wrong. well i’m off to the next post to figure it out.
