Knights of Rage – (Chapter: 2)

“I’ve never been this nervous about doing a job before,” I said. “Don’t worry. I’ll be careful.”

“If you get in trouble,” she said, “I’m going to kill you.”

“I love you too Ky,” I said. I stood up. “I’m gonna go to bed though.”

“Alright,” she said. She stood up and hugged me. “Goodnight.”

“Night,” I said. I walked down to my room and laid in bed. It took a while before I actually fell asleep.

“Ashley,” Kyla yelled, “get up. We’re gonna be late.”

I rolled out of bed. “Ok, ok,” I said. “I’m up.”

I got dressed in jeans and a black tank top. I walked down the hall and Aiden was coming out of his room.

                “What’s up?” Aiden asked.

“Just focusing on today,” I said.

                “Yeah me too,” he said.

We didn’t say much else to each other until we got to school. Kyla went the opposite direction. Aiden and I walked together.

“If I get in trouble today,” I said, “I’ll come back and pick you guys up.”

“What happens if I get in trouble?” he asked.

“If you get in trouble before me,” I said, “I’ll give you the keys. If you get in trouble after me, call me and I’ll pick you up.”

                “Sounds good,” he said.

“I’m going to bounce,” I said. “I’m gonna keep an eye on you but I don’t think it’s good to be with each other all the time today.”

“I agree,” he said. “Watch yourself.”

                “You too,” I said.

We went our separate ways. Third period gym with Madison was next. I’ve decided to make my move then. I walked into the locker room late. Madison is taking her time. Her and I were the only ones left in the locker room.

“What are you looking at?” Madison asked in a snotty tone.

“I’m still trying to figure that out,” I said.

“What the hell did you say?” she asked.

“Do you need me to spell it out for you?” I asked.

“You’re asking for it, bitch,” she said.

“I’d sure as hell like to see you try,” I said.
