    My Worst Enemy – (Chapter: Prologue/Chapter 1)

I reach into my pocket grumbling and pull out a 20 dollar bill and hand it to him. He takes it and heads into the kitchen to grab a beer. I head to the couch and turn the T.V. on and start to watch music videos on FUSE. I sit there staring at the screen, trying to think up of some excuse that’ll work, so I won’t have to go to the club tonight. ‘I could tell him that I just don’t want to go or that I don’t want to feel like a third wheel.’ All of a sudden I feel the weight of the couch go down next to me. I snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of Aiden’s voice.

"Alright dude, just stop okay." he says to me." I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to think of some way to get out of this. Well, I hate to break it to you, but you can’t." Before I can protest he continues."And I don’t care what you say or do. You can tell me that you’re going to feel like a third wheel or that you just don’t want to go, but you’re going." I look at him quizzically.’Man, how does he always know what I’m thinking.’

"Come on dude, I’m pretty sure there are going to be a lot of hotties there." he tells me persuadingly.

"That’s what you said last time and we ended up going to an all male strip club." I tell him, still haunted by that night.

"How was I suppose to know that she had a boyfriend who worked there?" he asks innocently.

"It doesn’t matter, that night was a disaster and I wasn’t even able to get laid because of that drama." I whine."And you can’t say it wasn’t that bad cause that guy nearly kicked your face in for coming up there with her."

"Dude, just come. Please, it would really mean a lot to me for you to meet her. Plus she wants to meet you too." he begs.

Alright, fine I’ll go, but if I don’t like it then I’m leaving. Okay?" I say sternly.

"Okay, but please stay at least an hour." he begs again.

"I’m not going to promise anything, alright?" I warn.
