She gently laid her head on my shoulder, “It seems like years since I was able to do this.”

“I know. The sad part is, it wasn’t even a full 24 hours.” I rested my head on hers.

She rubbed the side of my hand with her thumb, “This always feels so safe.”

“I know what you mean.” I placed a light kiss on the top of her head, “Now we have a reception to go to.”

“Do you think it’s going to be as big as our wedding?”

“I think it’s going to definitely be bigger. The media is going crazy. They’re trying their hardest to get all the info on it all.”

“Yeah but think of it this way, at least we have it all on camera.”

I gave a little laugh, “Spence, I love you.”

Spencer lifted her head from my shoulder and kissed me, “I love you too.”

When we got to the reception (which was being held at my mother’s home) we were starving. Our wedding was so early that we were having lunch instead of dinner. The dinner was nice and casual. After Spencer and I were done eating, Kyla made her way to the microphone on the stage, “Hey guys! Well, just like all receptions, the wonderful new couple must share the first dance on the dace floor of the night. So, ladies will you please show us your wonderful dance moves on the floor.”

Spencer and I got up from the table. I took her hand in mine as we walked away from the table. The song that came on was Kelly Clarkson’s “Maybe”. I couldn’t help but realize how priceless the moment was. We were now slow dancing to the first song that I had written for Spencer and she knew about. I put my hands on her hips and she wrapped her arms around my neck. Both of us were smiling at one another. We couldn’t help it. We were in love and this just marked the true full swing of it all.

After our first dance was done I decided to take the stage to perform a song that was going to be on my album. I took the mic in my hand, “Well, as you all know I’m going to be putting out my debut album here very, very soon. And one of the songs on that album I wrote specifically for this day. Only one other person in this room besides myself has heard it and that person is Madison Duarte. She’s in love with the song so Spence, I hope you will be to.” I gave her a loving smile and she blew me a kiss. Then I began on the first verse.

I looked straight into Spencer’s eyes. She knew the meaning of the song in every aspect.

I spotted Madison and Kyla in tears. It meant a lot to me that the people around me could feel how much I meant and felt this song.

Spencer was completely in tears now, and smiling the whole entire time.

I spotted Kelly Clarkson in the back of the room, one superstar just hanging out with normal people. She was also in tears.

When I was finished with the song Spencer came up on the stage with me. She wrapped her arms around me with tears running down her face, “I love you so much.”

“I love you too Spence.”

She pulled away from me and kissed me. The whole room seemed to be in awe. We just stood up there, kissing. Spencer was right about what she said, it was safe. It felt unbreakable. This only marked the beginning of forever.
