    Late night in the office… yes another one

    I put the Coke package to one side as I began to search through the shit on his desk.  I knew how careless he was and knew how often he’d leave his keys lying around amongst the mess he left to fester all over his work’space’.  Underneath a stack of plates piled with crusts, I finally found what I was looking for, and thanked the Gods of fate for finally getting their asses into gear and letting me have a little luck.  I thrust the small key into the drawer he continually kept locked, and quickly pulled it open to discover the only order I’d seen Aiden ever achieve.  The neatly stacked papers in the drawer left only enough room for his Palm Pilot to slot down the side of them, and I grinned, feeling my insides complete a happy dance, as I pulled it from its housing.  I turned it on and penned in the password – KingHigh – and watched as all the information I’d ever need poured onto the little screen in my hand.  I scanned his memos, soon discovering that not only did he store all of his bank details on the little computer, but also all of his passwords for just about everything I would ever need.  I finally logged onto his computer and called up ‘Mail’, locating his ‘Sent’ folder and scanning its contents for the email he’d sent me which had been cleverly titled “The Rules and Regulations of PNG – the small print you forgot to read”.  Sure enough, there, right under “To:”, were the email addresses of more than sixty of our colleagues.  I felt my head rush with the adrenaline that suddenly released itself into my veins and swiftly copied and pasted the addresses into a new email, ensuring that I blocked the list from being seen by each individual that received it.  I began to write, informing them – in what I considered to be an Aiden-like tone – that the bet had had to be cancelled due to suspicion being aroused in the powers after having been possibly notified of the nature of PNG.  I was just finishing it up when the ‘ping’ of the elevator down the corridor made me stop in my tracks, informing me that someone was heading in my direction.  Minimizing the window, I span round in my seat and waited with baited breath for the intruder to make themselves seen.  The seconds seemed to stand still,  until I heard voices – Spencer and Carrie’s voices, to be precise.  Bloody fucking marvelous.  I relaxed back into the chair as much as I could and grabbed the Coke folder, making it look like I was working just as the two women walked straight in through the door.

    2. Erm…crap. That sounded like one of those “perfect plans” that always end up backfiring. So I predict: Spencer finds out somehow, there’s a ton of drama like always, then there’s some forgiving going on even though spencer won’t want to, annd then they’ll end up together. But that’s just how things always go. Maybe you’ll come up with something more interesting.

    6. Oh thank goodness Carrie doesn’t have a brain. I just hope that she doesn’t somehow magically grow one…the “ah well” she sighed out at end sounded slightly ominous. Maybe I’m just being paranoid? Either way, loved the post.
