    Uhm . . . basically . . . stuff happens. Ashley’s kinda clingy, has some flash backs and comes to a decision that I think is just . . . it done in self-defense, I’ll say that.

     

    “What was that?” she inquired.

     

    “I asked if you’re ok. You’ve had that look on your face for a while now. It’s kind of freaking me out.”

     

    “Oh…“ Ashley shook her head, trying to clear the thoughts that were plaguing her mind.

     

    “Yeah, I’m fine.” She said although there was a slight frown on her face.

     

    Spencer didn’t want to push the issue so she smiled affectionately at Ashley and encircled her in a warm hug and kissed her firmly on the lips.

     

    “I seriously don’t want to go but I have to. Sam is probably wondering where I am and my boss is going to kill me. If I could I’d stay here with you for the rest of week I would. Trust me,” Spencer lifted Ashley’s chin and stared her down, making sure she understood every word she said. “You are the most amazing person I know.”

     

    Ashley blushed (hey, there’s a first for everything) and Spencer enveloped her in a monster of a hug. Ashley’s responding hug was a little slack. Everything was just too strange at that point to really show too much. Ashley didn’t want to think about it. She was pretty sure that what she needed was some alone time to figure everything out.

     

    Spencer smiled one last time. There was something in her eyes that made Ashley worry but she didn’t think much further on it. Spencer opened the door and walked out into the hall. Slowly Ashley closed the door and leaned against it once more. Just down the hall Spencer was doing the same thing inside of the elevator.

    Spencer walked into her apartment and crashed onto the first soft place she could find. It just so happened to be the couch that Sam was sitting on.

     

    “Ugh…”

     

    Sam raised his eyebrow but remained silent. Spencer glanced at him. That wasn’t his style.

     

    “What’s wrong with you?” she asked.

     

    He shrugged his shoulders and started to flip through the channels. Spencer began to be concerned. She crawled over to him and leaned into him softly.

     

    “What’s wrong?” she asked a second time.

     

    He sighed and turned off the tv. Sam looked down at her and shook his head back and forth.
