"What are you thinking about?"  She asks.

"Us and how much I love you."  I reach over and take her hand kissing the back of it.  She allows it and I smile.

"I love you too."  I doubted that for awhile after we got back because she didn’t like me touching her too much.  One day I snapped when I was trying to kiss her while we were on the couch.  She broke down and told me that she couldn’t feel anything and she was ashamed of that.  She was also ashamed of the scars that were on her body from the bullets and the sugeries.  I told her that none of that mattered and that I was just trying to show her how I felt.  We talked some more but we still have not gotten that far.

Her being paralyzed does bother me and it is taking me some time to get used to it.  Sometimes I can’t help but think that our relationship will be damaged if we can’t express ourselves physically.  I mean I am such a physical person how can I just turn all that off.  That’s when I realized Spencer must be thinking the same thing.  After that I try not to think about it and just live in the moment.

I tried to get Spencer’s therapist to start working on her legs as well, but Spencer told me to drop it.  I was upset, but then I talked to her dad and he said that there is little to no chance that she will ever walk again.    I wanted to stay positive, but when her dad says there is no hope then there is none.  I mean he is Mr. Positive.  Sometimes I wish Lee was here just so she could give Spencer some hope about maybe walking again.  I hate that woman, but if she could help Spencer I would welcome her back with both arms.  Unfortunately no one has heard from her.

"Were here."  I say when I park in the school parking lot.  It is a beautiful day so they are having the ceremony outside.  We get out and I get her chair ready for her.  When she is settled and I am leaning to shut the door she grabs me by my neck and pulls me to her lips. 

Wow this is the first real kiss we have really had since getting back together is the thought that runs through my head.  The next slips away as Spencer’s tongue slips into my mouth.  We fight for dominance when I decide to give into her. 

I pull away when I hear a car door slam.  I glance over to see some parents walking towards the football field.  Spencer grabs my chin and softly turns my head back to her.  She gives me a soft kiss and lets go.

"Ready?"  She asks and I see the double meaning.

"Yes."  And I am.  I am ready for a new beginning with her.  I was patient the first time and I will be again.  I will wait for her.

Not quite, what happened to the rest?

Clay- Goes to college and tries to be the best dad he can be to Alton.

Chelsea- Goes to art school near Clay and Alton.

Glen- Actually graduates and goes to bootcamp.  Eventually heads ends up in Iraq.

Kyla- Stays in LA and gets to know her sister better.  Starred in all the school plays and eventually ends up on broadway. 

Madison- Who knows?  After graduation it was heard she transfered to another school. 

Satan/Paula- Wakes up one day in her hotel room not remebering what had happened all that week.  Decides something needs to be done, she grabs the phone and dials room service for more rum.

Artur- Starts to date Darlene to Spencer’s dismay until she learns that it is a conflict on interest.  Is trying to get a divorce from Paula,  but can never find her to talk to.

Colvin- Becomes good friends to Ashley and Spencer.  But something is always missing. 

Leighson- Went back to Ireland and disappeared.

Aiden- Causes some more pain to Spencer and Ashley until he gets stuck with a child.

Creepy Joe- Anybody remember him, well he ends up in jail with a nice boyfriend named Floyd.

I haven’t decided if I am going to do a sequel or not.  I have some other ideas for other stories and might do them before coming back to this one.  I got writers block with this one.  I probaby won’t write till I am feeling better.  I just wanted to get this off before my medicine kicked in.  Thanks for reading.
