The Ashes That Remain – (Chapter: Chapter Seven)

“Hey, he smirked loving this just as much as me. “All’s a go.”

“Perfect,” I stated leaning back now just waiting for practice to end. This was going to be good.

    Whoa I’m losing hope

There’s a hole in my heart

That’s been cut out of stone

    Whoa cold comes cold goes

Could you fill this hole cause I can’t do it alone

A couple of tears and I’m a broken mess

The sadness has taken me far to deep into regret

So sing me a song about something good

My hearts on the threshing for it

I done every single thing I could

When practice ended I was just trying to keep my cool. Madison gave me some evil look which I just returned with smirk. Christmas was coming early this year for me.

    “Now?” Aiden asked.

“Wait,” I smiled at the boys anticipation while keeping cool, calm, and collected. “Wait until they’re all gone.”

    “What about Spencer?”
“I got her,” I stated getting up and slowly crossing the gym to her. She was not going to be happy about this.

“Spencer,” I tried to get her attention.

“Hey Ash, I just got to shower yet,” she stated thinking that I just wanted to leave, but I wanted to stay and watch the show.

“Wait, just wait,” I tried to get her to stay without telling her what was happening. She’d know soon enough anyways. Looking around to see everyone else was gone, I gave Aiden a nod and watched him pull out his cell phone.

“What’s going on Ashley?” Spencer asked with a little bit of anger already in her voice. Damn she’s good.

    “Just wait.”

I used to believe in some kind of feeling

That could change everything I thought I knew

    But that door is closing

My heart feels like it’s frozen

If you hear me I can’t feel you

    Whoa I’m losing hope

There’s a hole in my heart

That’s been cut out of stone

    Whoa cold comes cold goes

Could you fill this hole cause I can’t do it alone

It didn’t take long either. Within minutes, boys were running into the gym looking around frantically.

“That way,” Aiden pointed to the girls locker room.

“Ashley spill,” Spencer was starring at me dead serious. Shit.
