“I’m sorry Ashley but I really don’t think that’s a good idea. My life is to complicated to involve anyone in and besides I have to much to deal with as it is.” She tried to reason but Ashley would have none of it.

“But I can see in your eyes that you really want to. I can see how badly you need to get out and have some fun. I bet you’re a workaholic, and you probably haven’t been out enjoying yourself in ages.” Spencer couldn’t believe how right she was. She truly had not done anything for herself since after Rose turned her.

“It’s no use Ash. Please just forget about me, there are things to my life that would make you run away forever. So let’s not even begin to work on something that will be doomed from the start.” She tried to walk away but Ashley would have none of it.

‘She called me Ash! I can’t let her go!’ Ashley thought.

Ashley’s hand gripped Spencer in a firmer way and she pulled the latter to her so they stood with their bodies pressed against each other. Ashley put her other hand under Spencer’s chin and she lifted Spencer’s face to meet her and she covered Spencer’s full lips with her own.

It was a shy kiss at first, just a soft meeting of lips. Spencer had frozen in place but soon her eyes fell closed and she relaxed at Ashley’s touch. At this Ashley opened her mouth and carefully let her tongue caress Spencer’s buttom lips asking for entrance. Spencer gasped and instinctively opened her mouth letting Ashley gain entrance.

Unconsciously Spencer’s hands slid up to the nape of Ashley’s neck and her fingers tickled her hair there, Ashley put both of her hands around Spencer’s waist and the kiss grew hot and needy. Ashley hungrily tasted every angle of Spencer’s mouth and Spencer met her tongue in a fierce battle that Spencer somehow felt she didn’t want to win. She felt week at her knees and somehow she knew that if Ashley didn’t have her in a firm grip she would have fallen.

Something in Spencer wanted the other woman to dominate her, to take care and protect her. This in itself was strange as it was well known that female Vampires all had a dominant sense and would not submit to anyone that did not posses equal or greater strength than themselves, and Ashley being human made her the weaker of this coupling.
