Time Doesn’t Exist. Clocks Exist. – (Chapter: Ch.8: Spencer, Meet the Amish)

Spencer heard a bell ring as they opened up the front door. A little girl wearing a light blue bonnet and dress giggled as she looked at the visitors but as soon as Spencer replied with a wave she giggled some more and ran away. Voices could be heard in the back including one which urged them to “Look around all ya’ want and let me know if ya’ need some help.” Appearances were deceiving, Spencer realized, since the building seemed to grow to more than twice its size when one was inside. She and Patrick, who was becoming distracted by one of the wooden children’s games on a shelf, went their separate ways.

Walking towards the back of the store, a bunch of hand-made dolls caught Spencer’s eye. They weren’t very big, maybe the size of her hand, and there wasn’t anything particularly interesting about them, hell they didn’t even have facial features, but for some reason Spencer couldn’t tear her eyes away.

This mesmerized state Spencer found herself in was probably why she didn’t see another body, a little shorter than her and with dark brown hair, rounding the corner not noticing where she was headed and slamming right into her, knocking both the blonde and the doll in her hands down to the ground.

“What the hell?” Spencer raged, checking her body for broken bones without looking up, her city attitude shining through.

“Oh my God, I am so sorry.”

The blonde on the floor stopped moving around. She would know that voice anywhere. She also knew that she eventually was going to have to look up and make eye contact with Ashley and every moment she stared at the doll next to her instead of the girl above her was bound to make the event even more awkward. Grabbing the doll in her right hand for support, she held her left up for Ashley to grab and help her stand.

Wow. Her hands are really soft. I bet you she uses lotions. I should ask her which kind…

Now fully standing, she realized that her hand was still placed in Ashley’s and even though she didn’t want to let go – she felt like they fit together like puzzle pieces – she knew she had to. Pulling back her hand as if the brunette had stung her, she started fiddling with the doll.

    1. Yes. Finally. The long awaited update from you. Awesome. This is so far the best post ever. I love it and all the awkwardness between Spence and Ash. But Spencer has to realize that the sooner she confronts Ashley about this weirdness, the sooner she can get some Ashley loving. Haha. Post more soon, please? I Really Like This Story. A lot. Updates are always appreciated. Thx. And that whole doll thing was super cute. I loved it.
