    West Hollywood, CA

“I feel a bit lonely,” Shane said handing Molly her margarita.

“What do you mean? We’re together,” Molly said.

“Not like that,” Shane said. “I mean, friendwise. Bette and Tina are gone, Alice is, well you know, Tasha doesn’t come around here anymore, Kit is way too busy to hang out, Max is in Ohio, and Helena is…I don’t really know. All my friends are gone.”

Molly nodded. “I understand sweetie. Well we’re at a club, let’s make some new friends.”

Shane grinned. “Baby you know girls at these clubs aren’t looking for friends.”

“Come on,” Molly said, “it’s very easy to make it clear that you don’t wanna sleep with someone right from the start.”

“Yeah but I’m Shane honey,” Shane said.

“Don’t be cocky you,” Molly laughed whacking Shane’s arm. “Come on, let’s split up and bring back two new friends.”

“Hmm we’ll I’ll have to find a butch girl,” Shane said, “butch girls never wanna fuck me.”

“Hmm well both butch and femme girls want me so I’ll try to find one in a couple,” Molly said, “heck, I’ll bring the couple.”

Shane snorted. “Okay, good luck.” They kissed each other on the lips then walked in separate directions. Shane walked around the club looking at different woman.

“I thought you were off the market Shanester?”

Shane turned at the familiar voice then smiled. “Papi, how the Hell are ya?”

“Good, good, still boozing, partying, and fucking.”

“Some things never change,” Shane said.

“And after you stopped being my competition I really liked you,” Papi said.

“I was never your competition,” Shane said.

“And you’re not now right,” Papi said, “cause you look like you’re scoping the place.”

“Of course not,” Shane laughed. “I’m happy with Molly. I’m actually looking for a friend.”

“A friend?” Papi said with a small chuckle, “what is this high school?”

“It’s not that,” Shane said, “it’s just all my friends are kinda gone.”

“Oh that’s right, Bette and Tina in New York, Helena off the grid,” Papi said. “Heck I haven’t seen Tasha in fucking months.”

“Yeah, I love Molly to pieces, but I need some friends,” Shane said.

“Well you got one,” Papi said draping her arm over Shane’s shoulders. “Trust me girl, I’m a damn good friend to have.”

“I don’t doubt it,” Shane said.

“And you’ll be the only one I haven’t slept with,” Papi said.

“I’ll be the only woman in the world who hasn’t slept with you Papi,” Shane said.

Papi laughed aloud. “Come on now, I never slept with Bette or Tina.”

“You wish you did,” Shane said.

    “Don’t you?”

    “Hell yeah.”

“Oh my God, that’s one of my exes!” Papi cried.

“Papi most of the girls here are your exes,” Shane said.

“No, no,” Papi said, “I don’t mean someone on my long list of people. I mean an actual ex-girlfriend from high school from before I was Papi. When I was just Eva.”

    “Really?” Shane said.

“Yeah, yeah,” Papi said pointing, “there she is! Wow she looks beautiful.”

    Shane turned and gasped.

“Jeez calm down girl, she’s not that pretty,” Papi said.

“Yes she is,” Shane breathed. “My God I haven’t seen her in years.”

Papi looked at her in surprise. “You know her?”

    “I almost married her.”

Papi’s eyes nearly bugged out of her head. “You almost got married? To her?”

“Yes, I kinda left her at the altar,” Shane said. “It was the biggest mistake of my life.”

“Wow,” Papi hissed, “left at the altar. That’s rough.”

“I know,” Shane said, “I tried to apologize but it was no use. Her beafy cousins made sure I didn’t get near her.”

“Well I don’t see no beafy cousins now,” Papi said.

Shane shook her head. “Why bring up ancient history? That was more than 10 years ago.”

“Yet you still say it was your biggest regret,” Papi said. “Shane, consider this my first act as a friend.”

“And what would I say to her?” Shane said.

“Start with I’m sorry,” Papi said pushing Shane forward.

Caught off guard, Shane stumbled forward and crashed right into her beautiful ex-girlfriend.

    “Whoa! Excuse me,” she said.

“I’m s-sorry,” Shane stammered, “so sorry.”

Shane moved to turn around but froze when Carmen spoke again. “Shane?”

Shane gulped audibly. “H-hi Carmen,” she stammered, “I guess I mean I’m sorry in more ways than one.”

“You gotta be fucking kidding me!” Tina cried throwing the script at Aaron’s face.

“Your signature was on the release forms,” Aaron said with a smirk.

“You think you can sue me for missing negatives?” Tina snapped. “You already fired me.”

“We lost a lot of money Tina…”

“Fuck you Aaron, you’re just bringing me back in here because you found out I got a job with your competitor,” Tina said. “So cut the crap asshole. You’re hurt that I embarrassed your ass at that restaurant, and you’re scared that when I do go to my new job I’ll crush this studio like a fucking bug. And guess what fucker? That’s exactly what I’m gonna do.”

“Not if you’re in prison for causing this studio millions of dollars,” Aaron said cockily.

“Well you’re not getting anywhere,” Tina said, “you know why?”

“Why?” Aaron said, his confidence never wavering.

“Because I did not sign that release form, and I know the first thing my lawyer is gonna do is get the signature tested,” Tina said. “Of course the calligraphers are gonna find out that it was falsified.”

    Aaron’s face fell.

Tina smirked. “You can’t get rid of the paper because that’s the only evidence you have against me. And you know what else?”

    Aaron gulped. “W-what?”

“The next thing my lawyer is gonna do is recover all the security tapes,” Tina said. “And of course the security tapes will show who really went into the film room and left with all the negatives. I’m afraid you’ll find that it wasn’t me.”

Aaron cleared his throat and shifted in his seat angrily.

Tina smirked. “Get rid of the surveilance tapes, lose any chance of incriminating me.”

    Aaron growled.

“If you still wanna sue it’s up to you,” Tina said with a shrug, “but it would make my job easier when I move to New York and crush Alphaville studios for good.”

    Aaron gulped.

Tina stood up with a smirk. “Later bitch.”

    “I saw the security tapes.”

Tina turned around and looked at Aaron. “And what did you see?”

“You’re all confident and snarky, but you don’t even see what’s around you,” Aaron said.

“What do you mean by that?”

“When I saw who stole the negatives I thought for sure you had something to do with it,” Aaron said, “but I can see you didn’t.”

“Get to the point fucker!” Tina snapped.

Aaron stood up, his cocky smile returning. “You defended her and she betrayed you. You wanna know who screwed you over Tina? The woman you thought was your friend, Jennifer Schecter.”

“You think she and Tasha will work it out baby girl?” Kit said rejoining Bette and Tina on the couch.

“I think so,” Tina said. “From the tone of Alice’s voice I can tell it’s gonna be a hard process.”

“Every recovery is a hard process,” Bette said. “I mean if you skip the hard process it’ll only end up worse.”

“Hmm yeah, hence the whole ‘I’m straight’ thing,” Tina said shaking her head.

Kit snorted. “Baby girl you were never straight.”

“I know,” Tina said with a small sigh, “but I had left so much unresolved crap with Bette when I got back with her I was confused.”

“But then you realized you wanted me back once I started dating someone else huh?” Bette said with a smirk.

Tina scoffed. “I knew I wanted you back before you started dating Jodi.”

“Well why didn’t you say anything?” Bette said.

Kit turned to look at Bette with narrowed eyes. “You know why Bette, you just like to hear her say it.”

“Because I love you so much and I thought you deserved better,” Tina said.

    Bette grinned proudly.

    “Bette!” Kit chided.

“Oh right!” Bette laughed. “Baby, there is no one better for me than you.”

    “Ego-maniac,” Kit murmured.

    “Shut up,” Bette said.

Kit draped her arm around Bette’s shoulders and said, “I missed ya tons baby sis.”

“I missed you too,” Bette said, “I’m glad you’re gonna stay with me these few months.”

“I gotta meet my nephews before I go back to LA,” Kit said.

Tina’s phone beeped and the blonde grabbed it.

    “Work?” Bette asked.

“Mmhmm, yeah my assistant sent me a text,” Tina said. Tina opened the text then grinned widely.

    “What?” Bette asked.

“It happened, it finally happened,” Tina said happily.

“No way. You did it?” Bette said in surprise.

“Yes!” Tina cheered jumping up off the sofa, “thanks to my efforts at Focus fucking Pictures, Alphaville Studios is now officially out of business!”
