"She’s making a nest" Bette said straight faced indicating Alice.
Shane nodded plopping into an available chair, "Yep a fucking nest" she said sipping her beer. "Don’t worry Tina, she does it everytime we all get together."
"I am not making a nest, don’t listen to them Tina. I’m making a safe comfortable area so I can relax and stretch out. Interested?" Alice asked Tina.
Tina hesitated for a moment thinking then reached for some more pillows. "We can pretend we’re harem girls!" she said giggling.
"Now you’re talking!" Alice squealed enthusiastically.
"Shit and they aren’t even loaded yet," Shane complained to Bette rolling her eyes.
"I guess that makes us the Sultans and these are our love slaves," Bette said regally.
"Good, I always wanted a harem girl for a slave," Shane said winking at Tina.
"Oh no that slave is mine, you get the mouthy one," Bette said pointing at Alice with her beer bottle.
"What? No way, Rock paper scissors for her." Shane said putting out her fist.
"Hey, I don’t want to be the booby prize?" Alice whined.
Tina spawled out beside her, "Maybe you have the nicest boobies?" she said laughing.
Bette shook her head, "Uh uh, Tina’s got the nicest set of…"
"BETTE!" Tina yelled shocked.
Shane laughed, "Okay, okay no slaves."
"Yeah seriously, you both should be worshipping at our feet, right Tina?" Alice said with a high five to Tina.
"Whatever you say Alice, I’m really just here for the pillows" Tina joked.
"Okay, so much for solidarity!" Alice pouted and then changed the subject, "So just how is, the move going?" she asked seriously. "Do you need any help? Cause I’m sure Shane would be more than happy to oblige." Alice said volunteering her friend with a smirk.
"Thanks Al" Shane said saluting her with her beer bottle.
"Actually we don’t need any help. We’re moving things in gradually. Tina’s lease is up next month so we just do a small load every day. You should see the DVD collection Tina has" Bette said clearly impressed.
"What kind? Movies? TV?… Porn?" Alice asked raising her eyebrows hopefully.
"Mostly TV," Tina explained. "One of the perks of my job include the re-releases of most TV shows as they become available on DVD. A lot of retro stuff made it’s way to disc in the last 5-7 years. I really haven’t watched a lot of it so Bette has been educating me on what I have missed. We just finished watching 6 years of Xena." she said drinking her beer..

Am I pathetic or what?! I actually watched all of the shows mentioned, and many were favorites of mine. I had forgotten about Iris. BTW, I too have a crush on Sam Carter. Didn’t know that Murder Club got cancelled…I really liked that show. Back to the story. I laughed with tears reading this. I played along with Alice’s game remembering the shows and actors. This is like how I imagined Family Night to be with the gang. I wish that IC would have giving us that…it would have been really cool. Thanks for bringing back memories that I had forgotten!! PPS

CLS…that was so well done! I’m certain being able to blend in all those names and keep the dialogue on track was definitely a chore! I loved it all – particularly the end. CLS, That was one hell of a fic! You had me worried along the way, that Bette was going to wimp out losing all dignity. Quite a story you have weaved, bringing in so many character personalities throughout. Gotta love Alice, whether you are writing or reading her, she is always entertaining in fic’s. The closing was beautiful. Thanks so much for bringing your creativity to the site.
