    Bette, Tina, Alice and Shane enjoy some down time

    "And?" Bette prompted.

    Tina smiled, "And Xena rules. I don’t know how I could have made it to this ripe old age without having watched Xena Warrior Princess before I met Bette," she finished tongue-in-cheek.

    "But you work in the movie business, shouldn’t you have to study this kind of stuff or something?" Alice questioned.

    "What? No of course not. I don’t hire the actors I just make sure the production runs smoothly. All I need to know is, which one is going to be difficult and which one do I have to flatter into doing what I need them to do. How popular they actually are doesn’t even factor into the equation. Besides, their Bio’s are all included in their paperwork so I can access it if I really need the information." Tina explained.

    Shane sipped her beer, "Cool, so you’re up to speed now? Xena is one of Bette’s all-time heroines," she said nudging her friend.

    Tina shook her head, "Uh uh, she admires Xena but it’s Gabrielle that she lusts after. Did you know they shortened that poor woman’s outfit as the series played out? Bette was nice enough to point that out to me every time the character’s chest was …enhanced." Tina winked.

    "Oh yeah, but what’s not to like?" Bette defended grinning.

    Shane was nodding, "Right, remember the Go Go outfit in the second musical episode? Nice, very nice" she said dreamily.

    Bette added, "Remember Joxer singing about Gabby with her little stick, I always wanted to know more about her little stick. Just how little was it? What exactly did she do with her little stick? The possibilities were practically endless." she joked suggestively.

    Alice shook her head laughing at Bette’s imagery, "I’m sure Xena had a few ideas but I disagree with you two. Xena was THE Warrior Babe, Gabby was just the sidekick. I certainly wouldn’t have kicked Xena out of bed for sharpening her sword. Which one did you like Tina?"

    "My vote goes to Xena," Tina said causing both Bette and Shane to groan.

    "Now, now, quiet down you two. Get me some paper Porter, I want to record our votes" Alice demanded finishing her beer. "And munchies, lots of munchies and more beer… please" she smiled sweetly.

    1. Am I pathetic or what?! I actually watched all of the shows mentioned, and many were favorites of mine. I had forgotten about Iris. BTW, I too have a crush on Sam Carter. Didn’t know that Murder Club got cancelled…I really liked that show. Back to the story. I laughed with tears reading this. I played along with Alice’s game remembering the shows and actors. This is like how I imagined Family Night to be with the gang. I wish that IC would have giving us that…it would have been really cool. Thanks for bringing back memories that I had forgotten!! PPS

    5. CLS…that was so well done! I’m certain being able to blend in all those names and keep the dialogue on track was definitely a chore! I loved it all – particularly the end. You write them so well – and I feel their love growing with each chapter. Please continue! How is Tina adjusting to her new lifestyle? PPS

    7. CLS, That was one hell of a fic! You had me worried along the way, that Bette was going to wimp out losing all dignity. Quite a story you have weaved, bringing in so many character personalities throughout. Gotta love Alice, whether you are writing or reading her, she is always entertaining in fic’s. The closing was beautiful. Thanks so much for bringing your creativity to the site.
