    Revelations Chapter Two

"Joyce DeWitt, OKAY, yes I first fantasized over a Three’s Company clown." Alice confessed.

Bette looked at Shane. Shane looked at Bette and they both shrugged at the same time. "Figures!" they both said.

"What do you mean by that?" Alice asked.

"Well Al, you’ve got to admit if they had air dropped you smack in the middle of the show back then, You would have fit in like a glove. The bumbling, stumbling high jinks is right up your alley."

Alice looked irritated for a moment then smiled, "Oh you guys are so sweet."

Tina looked at Bette and asked, "How did you know what to say so she wouldn’t get pissed off?" she asked curiously.

"Easy, she’s had 4 beers. After 5 you can say just about anything to her and she will just smile back at you," Bette said innocently.

Alice shook her finger at Bette, "I’ve said it a million times Porter, Don’t exaggerate. Next! Okay, favourite TV professional. Doctor, Lawyer etc. I’ll start …Joyce Davenport from Hill Street played by Veronica Hamel and my dream date Melanie Marcus from Queer As Folk. Melanie Clunie is so hot."

Bette said, You know? Now that I think of it Clunie reminds me a lot of Shane, and she’s your dream date huh?" Bette said throwing that thought out there.

Shane and Alice looked at each other and both shuddered. "That’s just wrong in so many ways Bette."

Alice agreed with Shane, "Well there goes a perfectly good fantasy figure. I’ll never be able to picture her without Shane’s face popping up from now on. Thanks for that Bette," Alice pouted. "Anyway my second fav, Veronica was like Xena with a law degree. Tall, lanky and tons of attitude, oohh total babe!"

Bette agreed, "She was one of the strongest female TV characters at the time, I admired her too. Okay off the top of my head I have two. How about Amanda Donohoe from LA Law she played C.J. and Amy Brenneman from Judging Amy"

Shane agreed, "Those are good ones. There were a couple of ladies from some of the Law & Order shows Melinda Warner and Alex Cabot that always caught my eye"

"Oh yeah, I forgot about Cabot. Be still my heart," Alice whispered dramatically. "Tina?"

    1. Am I pathetic or what?! I actually watched all of the shows mentioned, and many were favorites of mine. I had forgotten about Iris. BTW, I too have a crush on Sam Carter. Didn’t know that Murder Club got cancelled…I really liked that show. Back to the story. I laughed with tears reading this. I played along with Alice’s game remembering the shows and actors. This is like how I imagined Family Night to be with the gang. I wish that IC would have giving us that…it would have been really cool. Thanks for bringing back memories that I had forgotten!! PPS

    2. CLS…that was so well done! I’m certain being able to blend in all those names and keep the dialogue on track was definitely a chore! I loved it all – particularly the end. You write them so well – and I feel their love growing with each chapter. Please continue! How is Tina adjusting to her new lifestyle? PPS

    3. CLS, That was one hell of a fic! You had me worried along the way, that Bette was going to wimp out losing all dignity. Quite a story you have weaved, bringing in so many character personalities throughout. Gotta love Alice, whether you are writing or reading her, she is always entertaining in fic’s. The closing was beautiful. Thanks so much for bringing your creativity to the site.
