P.S. I Love You.

Where are we now? Four years, two months and seven days further into the future than the last time I wrote you…I’ve been out of college half a year now, and I’m assistant to the manager of Gold Town Records. I guess if you want your dream to come true you have to work your way up…

“Davies!” my boss yelled “can you get us some lunch menus?” he asked, and of course I listened and got him menus because that’s all I ever did. I wasn’t happy…I hate my life right now. This is never where I wanted to be. Two years ago my dad died in a plane crash coming from New York to Los Angeles, and his Label was sold because I wasn’t old enough or capable of running a multi million dollar label.

Two years ago is when my world fell apart. I lost my dad, and my best friend Aiden became miserable, because his record contract was all in the past because the new owner of my dads company wouldn’t promote him. Then another thing happened that made me realize no one can ever love you like they say they do…and this is when I take you back.

I was on my way to Spencer’s because well…she was all I had right now regardless of the fact we broke up. She was at my dads funeral two months ago and she’s been the only person there for me since.

I knocked on her front door and her dad answered it “Ashley…hi” he said

“hey Mr. C…is um Spencer here?” I asked

“no…no she left this morning Ash…”

“what do you mean?” I asked confused

“didn’t she tell you she was moving?” he asked me

“um…no…no she didn’t…” I said “…thanks though” I added not knowing how to react to the situation at hand “…where’d she move to?” I asked

“Chicago…” he said “…she’s been planning to move there the past few months…”

“when did she decide?” I asked him

“about two months ago” he told me

“oh…” I replied then I just got into my car and drove back to my house, when I went through my front door I looked at Spencer’s number in my phone and chucked it at the wall as it shattered into pieces. “damnit!” I screamed dropping to my knees feeling so betrayed.
