The Next Day – Evening
Bette and Tina sat on the couch. Helena had just fired them.
“I hate that bitch.” Bette said.
“Same here.” Tina told her.
“We should find new jobs.”
“Shouldn’t it be better for Jay if you stayed at home for a while after he is born? I don’t think there are many bosses that want people who are very pregnant, maybe you should wait until Jay is born.” Tina said.
Bette raised her eyebrows. “Me and staying home? Have we met before?”
Tina chuckled. “Babe, I don’t think you have a choice. You can go looking for a job now but I highly doubt you are going to find one. Once our baby boy is born, you can begin to look and you’ll have more chance.”
Bette sighed. “Fine but what do I have to do? I mean, you will probably support Jay but I have to live to and I need an income.”
Tina shook her head. “I can support you to.”
“No, Tee, that’s sweet but I am a grown woman I have to care for myself.” Bette said.
“Okay then but you have some money in the bank right?” Tina asked.
“Yes, don’t worry.” Bette told Tina and kissed her on top of their head. They smiled at each other.
“I can’t wait for our little boy to arrive.” Tina told her.
Bette beamed. “Me to… In about 6 weeks we’ll be parents.”
Tina smiled. “Yeah, I am excited.”
“Me to…” Bette said and gave Tina a peck on the lips.
“What do you wanna eat?” Tina asked.
“Chinese would be amazing.” Bette told her.
“That can be arranged.” Tina said and took her cell. She called the take out place.
They had a nice evening, eating take-out, drinking wine, talking and eventually laughing. They knew it would be okay, this wasn’t the end.

Sunday
It was the day after the baby shower. It had been great Tina and Bette had had a lot of stuff including clothes, toys and gift cards. Tina would do four job interviews tomorrow. It also included Alpha Ville. It would be nice to work there again; she had always loved it there. They had tried to sue Helena but she had used ‘Economical reasons’ to fire them and because the film studio and the CAC had just gone through a major crisis, it was possible so they couldn’t do anything. The couple was sitting in Bette’s backyard with bikinis on. Bette’s belly was of course very, very visible and Tina thought she was the hottest pregnant woman she had ever seen.

Nice chapter. I think they will be better off not letting Helena have power over them because if they had kept their jobs she could have made life very difficult for them. They are both extremely talented and will have no trouble finding new jobs when the time comes. Now they should enjoy little Jay Q. I think Tina is going to have a hard time leaving him after they get home, and it looks like they are making good progress rebuilding their relationship so many they won’t need that schedule of splitting their time with him. Thanks for this story with a very different twist.
I don’t like the way this ended they should’ve kick Helena ass and stood up to her and also make a commitment to each other for good instead of saying they think they are together, I mean they have a baby now time out for the games, this story needs some more chapters, in fact all your stories need to be finish, what a way to leave them huh, *sigh*
No more posts on this one either then!?. Very frustrating you have some great storylines and interesting writing but the stories all of a sudden end!
