Well, one of our members has seen #The L Word Gen Q and has this to say:
actually watched 1st episode of generation:Q. interesting. the characters are strong and any story with bette porter or Shane in it will grab my attention. course, Alice…dear dear Alice still makes me nuts.
blending the”new” with a few of the original characters will be an interesting mix. the new faces are the emerging community and I “think” like most, I was also defiant against giving this new reboot a chance because I still continued to cling to what “was”and prejudged and compared to the past. the stories presented tonight are still trying to find their footing BUT, I will give it a chance, watch a few more episodes and see where I am with it.
life moves on. faces change. times change. people grow and blend with the new. i do give credit to this generation Q to giving voice and a chance to the younger generation Queers to continue to add their voices and stories to this evolving ensemble. myfavourite character of this generation Q is Finlay. tall, award, amusingly innocent and funny extremely fiercely loyal and protective of her friends…sort of like the displaced child who has finally found her way through the forrest. adventures await.
