    South Of Nowhere – 2.10 – Things Meant To Be

     

     

                “Glen?”  Clay asked, opening the bedroom door.  Glen was on his bed, with Spencer sitting at the end of the bed, arms crossed, eyes red with tears.  They all felt very lost, things seemed to be falling apart around them.  How had their seemingly perfect life suddenly taken this drastic turn?

     

                “Hey man.”  Glen said.

     

                “I brought you some ice, thought you might need it.”  Clay offered, and Glen took the ice pack. 

     

                “Thanks dude.” 

     

                “Spencer are you okay?”  Clay asked.  He sat on the computer chair, straddling it, watching his brother and sister. 

     

                “No.”  Spencer answered.

     

                “Me either.”  Clay said softly.

     

                “I have to get out of this house.”  Spencer announced, hearing her parents talking loudly in the other room.  “Like now, I need to let off some steam…”  Glen and Clay gave each other knowing looks.

     

                “Yeah, how about we blow this joint?”  Glen asked.  He rolled over, hopping on one leg and grabbing his crutches.  “Come on Clay, drive us to the club, we can get wasted, not go to school in the morning…”  Clay blinked. 

     

                “We shouldn’t…”

     

                “Our parents are breaking up, the big staying pure thing, and being knocked up before they got married is really flipping me out dude, come on.  I need my bro by my side…”  Glen begged. 

     

                “Where is your cell?”  Spence asked.  Glen motioned to his backpack.  “I’m calling Ashley, and I’m not coming home tonight.”

     

                “Dude, come to the club with us.”  Glen said.  Begging in his voice, had Spencer just said she wasn’t going to come home?  Then it hit him just what she meant by that.  Clay’s eyes were wide also, and then Glen motioned to Spencer.

     

                “How about Ash and I meet you there?”  Spencer stated.  Glen grimaced, and Clay raised his eyebrows. 

     

                “I’m actually agreeing to this, fine.  Yeah, why the fuck not?  Might as well rebel in style man, let’s get out of here before they leave their room.”

    11. As always, I love it! Ashley is so sweet. I don’t know if I would have let someone like Paula spend the night. But then again, I wouldn’t leave her outside in the rain… Dillema =S And I’m telling you, or rather begging you, please don’t make somekind of brief Spencer/Aiden twist! It would break their relationship! ='( But still, I sense alot of future drama in the air *sniffs around* Yupp, it’s strong. =P
