Two weeks later…
Ashley sat in her room-alone-waiting for a call from Aiden. She was miserable. It had been weeks since she and Spencer had spoken and putting on the “I’m ok without you” act was getting to be quite the challenge. No matter how miserable Ashley Davies was, she just couldn’t make herself apologize. She wanted Spencer back. She realized that what she did was wrong, but she couldn’t help but feel that Spencer should’ve given her another chance. They had waited so long to get to where they were, why throw it all away over a kiss that meant nothing?
She felt a tear make its way down her face, but she quickly brushed it away. She couldn’t spend another day in her room crying with Coldplay blasting in the background. Her tear ducts were screaming for a break and she could only handle so many five minute-long piano intros.
Ashley answered her phone on the first ring, desperate to talk to Aiden…desperate to talk to anyone besides herself, Lucy (the maid), and Chris Martin.
“Aiden! What’s up?”
“Just chillin’. Hey, there’s a party at my place tonight. If you can drag yourself out of your room, you should come check it out…you can drink, mingle, and maybe forget about the fact that you’ve fucked things up with Spencer.”
“Thanks. Thanks a lot,” Ashley said bitterly, still not ready to joke about the demise of her relationship. Hell, she was barely ready to hear Spencer’s name.
“Hey, I’m sorry. I just want to see you get out of the house, you know? Have a little fun…like the old Ashley.”
“Being the ‘old Ashley’ is what got me in this mess to begin with.”
“Agreed…ok, how about the new and improved Ashley who likes to dance and maybe drink a little? Or reverse ‘em. It’s up to you.”
“We’ll see. What time?”
“I was hoping you could help me set up, so how about nine?”
“Oh, I get it. You’re totally using me as like, your last-minute party committee.”
“Um…maybe.”
“Luckily, I owe you one. See you at nine.”
“Ashley?”
“What?”
“Don’t be late.”
“Aiden, have you ever known me to be late?” Ashley replied with a laugh.
“Whatever, Ash. Bye.”

Oh I’m so happy now!! Ashley better say something to sweep this girl off of her feet! I mean of course I don’t expect Spencer to take Ashley back right away, hell I know I wouldn’t!
