    Awwwww!

    Spencer rolled over and wondered why her alarm hadn’t gone off yet. Glancing over, she realized that she’d woken up an hour before it was supposed to, something she hadn’t done in a long time. The bed next to her was empty, and the emptiness radiated a little inside her, but she knew it was only temporary.  The conversation from last week came to mind, and she let her eyes close, visions of Ashley drifting through her mind.

     

    “It’s only for a day or two”

     

    “It’s ridiculous Ashley, we live together and I see you every morning.”

     

    “It’s traditional” her fiancé said, refusing to back down.

     

    “Ashley, we’re two women, getting married in a non-legal ceremony away from a church with no fluffy white dresses and no… well, anything, why do we need to suddenly be traditional?” Spencer punctuated her argument with vibrant hand gestures and facial expressions. Ashley laughed, pulling the blonde into her arms she kissed her soundly and replied,

     

    “Well, you’ll just have to live without me for one night, because you’re not seeing me the morning of our wedding.”

     

    “I don’t get it” grumbled Spencer, “You’re getting very odd these days.” All she got in response was another smile.

     

    And so, here she was, the morning of what she supposed would be the biggest day of her life, in bed alone. The butterflies in Spencer’s stomach sat up and started to dance. She wished Ashley was there. There were absolutely no doubts in her mind that she was doing exactly the right thing. Her love for Ashley was overwhelming, and legal or not legal, ceremony or no ceremony, she fully intended to stick by the girl for the rest of her life. Nonetheless, the thought of standing up in front of all those people still made Spencer restless to the point of panic. She never did too well at public speaking. Besides, knowing Ashley there’d be some great big sweetheart surprise waiting for her, and she didn’t have a lot organized in return. She just wanted this day to be about the two of them. Why couldn’t they elope dammit? She’d suggested it, but it hadn’t gone down to well… she let that scene flash through her mind too.

    2. Great three part update…I did not realize there was more to the Circles story when I was reading the other installments. As I have already told you, you are a fantastic writer and everyone should be leaving comments as they read a story! You are way to talented to go under appreciated. This was a beautiful installment and a perfect compliment to the rest of the story…and a HAPPY ending :-)!!! Looking forward to reading more from you! Hope you got my pm.

    11. I love your portrayal of Ashley in this story. She seems so mature and sure of herself and such a rock. I also find it fascinating the fixation with getting married in these fanfics…since that is not a reality in so many places. I agree with the others…I think you could write more to this story. It is fun to see them happy and honest. I also like your other stories…..so please continue to devote your time to writing :)

    15. HEY! I do have a life! Just not a very big one. :) It’s hard to when you work all day and then go to school all night. Most of it is plopped down in front of a computer, which is why I get so distracted here all the time. Damn fiction! Now, please don’t tell me this is really the end of this story. I’m not saying you need to continue it RIGHT now, but maybe later? Maybe once you get over another fic or two you’ll want to revisit this one? Pretty please? I’ll be your wifey for lifey!

Uni has returned with a vengeance and I fear I will be not around and posting much – so it’ll be so much more special when I do manage to put up a few chapters ;-) I will, however, be checking for your posts, and enjoying the goober/ clomle/ bannerman/ jesus/ bicycle/ god/ randomness that we seem to be so good at! anyways, toodle pip for now – I’ve got bloody work to do, a meal to cook,and a housefull of mates to tend to – bastards! why can’t they crash someone else’s house ;-) I look fwd to more 28 days :-D
