The silence around the dinner table was deafening. Ashley was holding her breath, while Glen continued to cough a little, food still stuck in his mouth. What should she say?
‘Yup, that Ashley Davies. Lesbian, freak, and very sexy. Excuse me I have to take your sister upstairs for a second. Aw heck, forget upstairs, what’s wrong with the dining room table right now?’ Ok, now she was panicking.
“Glen, don’t be so rude” Mr. Carlin interjected. “Pass the potatoes Spencer.”
And the moment passed. Clay and Mr. Carlin thankfully started up a random conversation, and while it was obviously a cover up. It took Spencer a few minutes to recover, but when she did she joined in the talk, eager to change the topic. Only Ashley and Glen stayed relatively silent, Ashley with her heart pounding in her chest and Glen with a strange look in his eye.
After dinner, Ashley managed to still her fear and anger long enough to help with the dishes. It was the sort of thing she’d normally never do, but somehow it felt like the right thing to do in this context. It earned her a smile and squeeze on the shoulder from Mr. Carlin and a lopsided grin from Spencer. Clean up finished, the blonde grabbed her hand as quickly as possible spinning Ashley around and pulling her from the room.
Ashley barely caught Spencer’s call over her shoulder,
“Going to my room Dad.”
“Ok, don’t make it too late though, it’s a school night.” Spencer’s father called back from the kitchen.
Hitting Spencer’s room, Ashley fell on the bed, covering her eyes with her hands and groaning. She listened as Spencer closed the door and then spoke to the ceiling.
“I can’t believe Glen almo…”
“Hey what do you think the history test is going to be on tomorrow.” Spencer interrupted, walking to her computer and flipping it open. Ashley sat up, staring at the blonde. Ok, clearly the topic of Glen was now off limits.
“Uh, I don’t really know. I don’t take history with you.” Ashley was cautious with her reply. She desperately wanted to know what was going on in the other girls head but was too afraid to ask.

Whew! Sorry I’m late again. I think I got the last of the bastards rounded up now. Unfortunately, I had to waste a few. It’s always a shame when you have to put a good zombie down. But anyway —GRWAAARRRRWW— God dammit! Hold on… ::whoshwhoshsplat!:: Ok, sorry. Now, you’ve certainly whetted my appetite for this supposed humdinger of yours. It is certain to be a rollicking good time for all.

Whew! Sorry I’m late again. I think I got the last of the bastards rounded up now. Unfortunately, I had to waste a few. It’s always a shame when you have to put a good zombie down. hmmm, movie night, im guessing at the davies residence w/o parental supervision. lol Hmmm…in ashley’s room? GAH! I need to stop thinking these things. lol for all i know they will end up in some huge fight about popcorn. lol…hmmmm, idk. But my head is still spinning from the episode of tonight and im waiting for the next one. lol So you gotta post like everyday until then. lol PMS
